Rotary Club of Sta. Cruz Rotary Club of Sta. Cruz The ROTARY CLUB OF SANTA CRUZ was organized through the initiative of DGSR Larry Limjuco, Pres.

Tito Rivera and a handful of other Rotarians, all from mother club Rotary Club of Pagsanjan during Rotary Year 1975-1976. In its charter presentation on June 28, 1976, PDG Jun Tambunting swore in 24 members with Romy Olivares as Charter President. Although considered as a small club, Rotarians from this young club often gave meaning and substance to Rotary’s Motto “Service bove Self”. It was during the All Star Year RY 2016-17 RCSC achieved 100% All Paul Harris Club, a one-time recognition awarded by RI. The Life Changing RY 2021- 2022 had made a mark in RCSC's history. The club has achieved its membership goal of 50 Rotarians after 46 long years, which coincided with Rotary's 117th Anniversary celebration. The club was also able to secure it's first ever club sponsored Global Grant ( GG #2232869), " Clinic on Wheels" and it's also this year that RCSC has produced it's 1st Major Donor in the person of PP W***y de Torres.

The Magic Begins...
Another exciting year awaits the Rotary Club of Sta. Cruz as the Magical Rotary year begins to unfold. Magical President Rey Abrazaldo started his year with a bang, launching a high impact Kick- Off Project, "Pagkain, Hanapbuhay at Kalusugan, Para sa mga Nakakatanda ng Lipunan", benefitting 120 senior citizens of Brgy. Palasan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna held July 1, 2024. The seniors were prepped up with a Zumba session to set the tone of the day. A package of livelihood opportunities were unwrapped and demonstrated by trainers from the Special Livelihood Office ( SLO) of the Provincial Government of Laguna, which caught their interests and curiosities. An icebreaker from selected seniors, showcased that they still got the moves and the grace to electrify the crowd. After the number, food was served and RCSC members handed their gifts to the senior citizens. Each one brought home 10kg of rice and food supplements / medications. RCSC believes that given the right opportunity and the right tools, our senior citizens can still be viable part of our society that can contribute to the welfare and economy of the community.
