Last February 7, 2026, at the UST Medicine Auditorium, we gathered not just for a talk, but for a shared moment of growth — where ideas took root, conversations sparked inspiration, and learning extended beyond the ordinary.

“BLOOM: Building Learning Opportunities through Mentorship” reminded us that growth happens when we choose to listen, reflect, and stand together as one OT family. 🌱

Inspiring change. Innovating futures. 🌍✨

From February 9–12, 2026, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, our UST OT community proudly participated in the World Federation of Occupational Therapists Congress under the theme “Inspiring Change, Innovating Futures.”

Six academic staff — Asst. Prof. Allan James Tan, MSOT; Prof. Ivan Neil B. Gomez, PhD; Assoc. Prof. Kim Gerald Medallon, PhD; Asst. Prof. Kathlene Anne Hernandez, MHPED; Asst. Prof. Pauline Grace Morato-Espino, PhD, and Asst. Prof. Nikka Karla Santos, OTD — together with UST OT alumni, presented their scientific papers. Prof. Ivan Neil B. Gomez, PhD and Mr. John Alexander David B. Tuazon, MSOT also showcased poster presentations. Prof. Gomez further served as a cluster session moderator during the congress.

Our passion for advancing practice beyond borders truly embodies what it means to lead, serve, and innovate. 💙💛

On December 2, 2025, UST proudly produced 60 newly registered Occupational Therapists and 28 topnotchers, each one embodying competence, character, and commitment to service. 🧠📚

Last November 23-24, 2025, the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists, Inc. (PAOT) held its National Elections for 2025.

Out of the 13 elected members, 6 academic staff from the UST Department of Occupational Therapy were chosen to serve as part of the Board of Directors for the 2026–2028 term.
