Niche Psych seeks a highly collaborative, creative, and flexible teamate to join us in this 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓-𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐍 position. This role will require a basic understanding of mental health diagnoses and the DSM-5, along with the ability to provide psychoeducation when needed. More than anything, we’re looking for someone who can bring compassion, empathy, and genuine concern for our clients.⁣

This position is part-time and in a work-from-home set up. Shift is flexible but we prefer two weekdays and one weekend availabilities. Increase of hours per week will be considered in the future, and a potential for full-time position will be offered.⁣

Happiness is not a fleeting stroke of luck, but a profound result of consistent, intentional effort. To say "Happiness is a discipline" acknowledges the active choice required: the daily struggle to redirect negative thoughts, to practice gratitude even when circumstances are challenging, and to consciously seek meaning and purpose. It's the mental fortitude to train one's mind, much like an athlete trains their body. Over time, this sustained discipline—these repeated choices and efforts—culminates into "Happiness as a habit." What begins as a conscious struggle gradually becomes an ingrained pattern of thinking and behaving, a default mode of engagement with the world where optimism, resilience, and appreciation arise more naturally. Thus, discipline lays the groundwork, solidifying the pathways that allow happiness to become an enduring and intrinsic part of one's being.

We're happy to share that our psychologist recently earned her certification as a 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭 (𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟑) with the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology (GCAT). This is a meaningful milestone for Ms. Ainah—not just professionally, but also in her mission to serve and support people who are experiencing psychological trauma. 💚⁣

GCAT is an international organization that equips mental health professionals to recognize, respond to, and treat psychotrauma. Through this training, Ms. Ainah learned how to work with compassion fatigue, disaster trauma, sexual trauma, domestic violence, grief and loss, and anxiety and phobias. She's continuing her journey toward becoming a Master Traumatologist (Level 5), with more training ahead in areas like trauma in children, trauma in families, and intervention in human trafficking. Grateful for the opportunity to keep growing and to use what we learn to help others heal. 🌱✨⁣
