On Palm Sunday, we remember how Jesus entered Jerusalem, not as a conquering warrior, but as the humble Messiah.

β€œThey took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, β€˜Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” (John 12:13).

This was not just a celebration, it was a fulfillment of prophecy. As Matthew 21:5 declares, β€œSee, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey.” The crowd cried out in praise, yet Jesus knew He was riding toward the cross. His triumph was not through might, but through meekness.

It is Jesus, the same King who entered Jerusalem now longs to enter your heart. So let us welcome Him today as the King who brings peace, salvation, and eternal life.

Isaiah 43:18-19
"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

This verse encourages us to let go of past disappointments and embrace the new possibilities that the new year brings. We can trust that God is always working in our lives and that He can bring about renewal and restoration this year 2025.

2 Corinthians 5:17 states, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

The verse emphasizes that in Christ, we are fundamentally changed. This can inspire us to view our RESOLUTIONS not just as superficial changes, but as opportunities for deep INNER TRANSFORMATION. Instead of focusing solely on EXTERNAL GOALS (like weight loss or career advancement), we can use our resolutions to cultivate inner qualities like patience, kindness, or forgiveness.

"Old things have passed away" reminds us that we don't have to be defined by past failures or mistakes. We can acknowledge them, learn from them, and move forward with a renewed sense of hope and possibility in the Word of God.

The verse highlights the promise of a "NEW CREATION", recognizing that our transformation comes through our relationship with Christ. By viewing our New Year's resolutions through the lens of 2 Corinthians 5:17, we can move beyond simply making changes to our lives and embark on a journey of GENUINE TRANSFORMATION, guided by God's grace and empowered by His Spirit.

In the midst of the holiday hustle and bustle, let us not forget the true meaning of Christmas. It's not just about presents and decorations, but about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

May this season be a time of reflection on the incredible gift of God's love through giving His Son Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. Let us remember the true reason for the season and allow it to guide our actions and inspire our hearts.
