SPH MONTHLY GENERAL ASSEMBLY – DECEMBER

December 5, 2025 — St. Paul Hospital ‒ Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental successfully conducted its Monthly General Assembly for the month of December. This month’s gathering was sponsored by the Office of the Chief of Hospital.

SPH CHIEF OF HOSPITAL AT THE 6TH NATIONAL HEALTH SECTOR MEETING

December 3, 2025 — St. Paul Hospital ‒ Tagoloan takes great pride in the recognition received by its Chief of Hospital I, Dr. Ben Johnson B. Villanueva, during the 6th National Health Sector Meeting held at Royce Hotel, Clark, Angeles City, Pampanga.

Dr. Villanueva was officially inducted as Public Relations Officer of the Association of Health Administrators in the Philippine Government Service (AHAPGSI), with DOH Secretary Dr. Teodoro Herbosa administering the oath.

His election as one of the officers representing LGU hospitals nationwide stands as a testament to the trust, confidence, and leadership he continues to uphold—bringing honor to St. Paul Hospital and strengthening its voice in advancing the country’s healthcare system.

PHILIPPINE ANTIMICROBIAL AWARENESS WEEK 2025 OBSERVANCE

November 18–24, 2025 — St. Paul Hospital ‒ Tagoloan joined the nationwide observance of the Philippine Antimicrobial Awareness Week (PAAW) 2025, reaffirming our commitment to responsible antimicrobial use and heightened public awareness on the threats of antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

As part of this year’s celebration, the following activities were carried out:
• Giving of Flyers to OPD Patients – Providing accessible and informative materials on AMR and its risks.
• Kick-Off Event & Opening of PAAW 2025 – Launch of the digital campaign encouraging the use of AMR-themed profile frames to expand awareness online.
• Go Blue for AMR Awareness – Staff wore blue attire as a symbol of solidarity and support for antimicrobial stewardship.
• Workshop for Healthcare Professionals – A focused session on AMR prevention and best practices in antibiotic stewardship.

ADVOCACY SESSION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS — BARANGAY MOHON

November 11, 2025 — St. Paul Hospital - Tagoloan participated in the Advocacy Session on Death, Dying, Grief, Degenerative Illnesses, and Drug Awareness held at the Barangay Mohon Covered Court. The activity was organized by the Office of Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) under the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) to promote awareness, understanding, and psychosocial support for senior citizens as they navigate the health challenges of aging.

Representing St. Paul Hospital was Dr. Ben Johnson Villanueva, who served as the resource speaker and shared valuable insights on self and household care, as well as on conditions such as Osteoarthritis, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. His discussion aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and coping strategies for healthier and more informed aging.

We express our gratitude to OSCA-MSWDO, headed by Ms. Verlyn S. Baclay, RSW, MSW, the barangay leadership of Mohon, and all the participating senior citizens for their warm engagement and active involvement in this meaningful advocacy.
