In view of the recent encounter between the Philippine Army and unidentified armed men in Brgy. Sto. Niño today, classes in the following barangays of Tanjay City are hereby suspended on Monday, February 16, 2026:

• Brgy. Sto. Niño
• Brgy. Pal-ew
• Brgy. Bahian
• Brgy. Sta. Cruz Nuevo

This measure is implemented to ensure the safety and security of all students, teachers, and school personnel, including all neighboring hinterland barangays, while the situation is being closely monitored and investigated.

All concerned schools in these barangays are advised to remain alert and await further announcements from the local government and school authorities.

An Executive Order will follow for everyone’s guidance and reference.

Tanjay City Nutrition Council carried out an ocular inspection of the New Government Center. During the visit, it was noted that the building features four lactation stations and an indoor children’s playground. One of the lactation stations is conveniently situated near the Mayor’s Office. These facilities demonstrate the building’s commitment to supporting children and breastfeeding mothers. The setup also aligns with the standards outlined in the Monitoring & Evaluation of the Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI Pro).
