Tanjay City Nutrition Council visited a child with Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) from Pal-ew currently confined at the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital. During the visit, CNAO provided grocery items and essential food commodities to help support the child’s nutritional needs during recovery.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our very supportive City Mayor/CNC Chairman Mayor Jose "Pepe" T. Orlino for the financial assistance and continued commitment to strengthening nutrition and health programs in Tanjay City.

Happy 4th Anniversary to the Canghatap Farmers’ Association!

Tanjay City Nutrition Council proudly took part in the celebration of the Canghatap Farmers’ Association’s 4th anniversary. As part of the event, the City Agriculture Office distributed Lakatan banana planting materials to the farmers, supporting sustainable agriculture and livelihood development. This initiative aligns with the Nutrition Council’s vision and mission of strengthening food security, improving nutrition, and ensuring that every household has access to safe, nutritious, and sustainable food sources. The celebration also highlighted the importance of collaboration among local organizations in empowering farmers and promoting community well-being.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our City Mayor/CNC Chairman Mayor Jose "Pepe" T. Orlino and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod for approving the necessary budget to successfully implement this activity. City Mayor also commits to provide a farm-to-market road in the area to improve accessibility and ease transportation for the farmers of Canghatap. We also thank the City Agriculture’s Office for their dedication and tireless efforts in providing valuable farming information and appropriate technologies to support and empower our farmers. Gi sugdan na ang pagpanghatag ug bugas ug gatas para sa ato mga Senior Citizen na wala ka abot ang timbang basi sa ila gitas-on ug kini naga matuod na ubos ang ila Body Mass Index (BMI). Dakong pasalamat namo sa liderato ni Mayor Jose "Pepe" T. Orlino inubanan sa iya mga kauban sa Sangguniang Panlungsod na kanunay ga aprobar sa atong mga proyekto, plano, ug aktibidadis niining pinalangga natong dakbayan. Karon na tagamtaman na nato ang balanse na pagtakad ug pagmahal sa atong pang gobyerno na gi paangay para ka natong tanan. Kami magpa dayon na inyung ubos na suluguon. Daghang salamat Tanjay.🙏🏻🤍

Tanjay City Nutrition Council successfully distributed 50 kilos of rice and milk to our malnourished senior citizens in Barangay San Isidro and Barangay V as part of its continuing efforts to improve the nutritional well-being of all vulnerable groups. This initiative reflects the city’s strong commitment to promoting health and proper nutrition among our elderly population.

Even during the holiday season, the Tanjay City Nutrition Council remained committed to its mission by continuing the distribution of rice to our lactating mothers in the following last barangays before Christmas: Barangay VI, Barangay IV, Sta. Cruz Nuevo, and Sta. Cruz Viejo. This initiative reflects our dedication to ensuring proper nutrition and support for mothers and their families, regardless of the season.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our very active City Mayor/CNC Chairman Mayor Jose "Pepe" T. Orlino, members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, and the Barangay Nutrition Committees for their unwavering support and cooperation in the successful implementation of our nutrition programs, projects, and activities.
