In view of the recent encounter between the Philippine Army and unidentified armed men in Brgy. Sto. Niño today, classes in the following barangays of Tanjay City are hereby suspended on Monday, February 16, 2026:
• Brgy. Sto. Niño
• Brgy. Pal-ew
• Brgy. Bahian
• Brgy. Sta. Cruz Nuevo
This measure is implemented to ensure the safety and security of all students, teachers, and school personnel, including all neighboring hinterland barangays, while the situation is being closely monitored and investigated.
All concerned schools in these barangays are advised to remain alert and await further announcements from the local government and school authorities.
An Executive Order will follow for everyone’s guidance and reference.
