HAPPENING NOW || The Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development–DOH, in partnership with the Tuguegarao City Health Office, is conducting FREE Voluntary HIV Screening and FREE Tuberculosis (TB) Screening this Friday, August 29, 2025, at the City Hall Lobby.

This initiative aims to normalize HIV testing as a stigma-free practice, ensuring that both City Hall employees and visitors have access to confidential and voluntary screening services. It also promotes early detection, prevention, and timely referral for care, while supporting national and local health programs that highlight regular screening as a vital strategy in the fight against HIV and TB.

The activity is conducted in coordination with the Philippine Tuberculosis Society Inc., Sustained Health Initiatives of the Philippines, The Northern Lights Organization, and student volunteers from UCV and SPUP.

Mula March 2024 hanggang March 2025, 88% ng mga PLHIV na naka-enroll sa antiretroviral therapy (ART) at sumailalim sa viral load test ay natukoy na virally suppressed. Patunay ito na ang tuloy-tuloy na ART para sa mga PLHIV ay nakatutulong para mas mabilis nilang maabot ang Undetectable = Untransmittable status.
