A Sad Day for AJK Medical Fraternity

We extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of two highly respected members of our medical community:

- Dr. Raja Zahid Hussain (Renowned ENT Specialist)
- Dr. Abdul Haleem Khan (Senior Dental Surgeon)

Their services to the people of AJK and contributions to the medical profession will always be remembered with deep respect and gratitude. Their passing is a great loss for the medical fraternity of the region.

We pray that Allah SWT grants them the highest ranks in Jannah, forgives their shortcomings, and gives sabr to their families, friends, and colleagues.
PIMA AJK stands with the grieving families in this moment of sorrow.

The 6th Sakina Aziz Memorial Free Eye Camp was successfully organized by PIMA ( POB Trust ) & Alkhidmat Foundation at Qasmi Hospital Bhimber . The camp was formally inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner Bhimber, Chaudhry Haq Nawaz, accompanied by Dr. Abdur Rehman, General Secretary Alkhidmat Health Foundation Pakistan and Director PIMA Relief, and Dr. Atta Ullah Qasmi, Chief Organizer of the Camp.
On this occasion, office bearers and volunteers of Jamaat-e-Islami, Alkhidmat Foundation, and PIMA were also present. The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the organizers on the successful conduct of the camp and paid tribute to their dedicated and commendable efforts in serving the community.

Shura meeting of PIMA AJK was held on 9th November at Shifa College of Medicine, Islamabad. The meeting reviewed organizational matters, assessed the performance of the past six months, and planned for the upcoming six months. It was presided over by Dr. Sikandar Iqbal Raja, President of PIMA AJK.

Dr. Abdur Rehman, Director PIMA Relief Pakistan and General Secretary AHF conducted a diabetes awareness session organized by PIMA Bhimber AJK on the occasion of World Diabetes Day at Dar-e-Arqam School, Bhimber.

During the session, he discussed the causes, early symptoms, and preventive measures of diabetes, stressing the importance of a healthy lifestyle, balanced diet, and regular screening.
The activity enhanced teachers’ understanding of diabetes and promoted healthier habits among students and the school community.

PIMA Mirpur AJK | Clinical Program on World Diabetes Day|

A special clinical event was organized by PIMA Mirpur on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, attended by over 80 doctors.
The program included a Dars-e-Qur’an, followed by a clinical lecture by renowned endocrinologist Dr. Shoaib.
President PIMA AJK President Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal and PIMA Mirpur Dr. Jahangir Anjum also addressed the gathering.

The inaugural *Shura Ijlaas* of PIMA Azad Jammu & Kashmir was held in Islamabad on June 1, 2025. The session was chaired by the newly elected President of PIMA AJK, Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal. The meeting was attended by members of the Shura and district representatives from various regions of AJK.

Following consultation with the Shura members, Dr. Raja Sikandar Iqbal announced the appointment of state-level office bearers. Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Imran, Associate Professor of Medicine at MIMC Mirpur, was appointed as the General Secretary of PIMA AJK for the term 2025–2027.

The session also included a planning segment in which tentative programs and objectives for the next six months were outlined. The meeting concluded with prayers, seeking Allah Almighty’s guidance and support for all office bearers and members in fulfilling their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, and excellence.
