Heartiest Congratulations to our group leader Dr. Muhammad Shahid on winning PAS (Pakistan Academy of Sciences) Gold Medal Award 2022 in Biological Sciences. Currently, Dr. Muhammad Shahid is working as Associate Professor of Biochemistry, at Department of Biochemistry, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He is research group leader of Medicinal Biochemistry Research Lab. A good number of master and M. Phil students including 10 PhD completed their degree under his supervision. In his research group a commercial activity for the analysis of samples for biological activities is also carried out Dr. shahid is InCharge of this commercial aspect of his lab. The main interest of Dr. Shahid research group is how to fight against the microbial resistance and developing the different lead molecules from the synthetic and natural science. About 371 papers, is to his credit in the reputed national and international journals. He also wrote 11 book chapters in different books and many popular articles. Different national and international awards including Dr. Muhammad Asghar Bajwa Gold Medal Award from The Applied
Zoological Society of Pakistan (AZSP), GA award, Young Investigator Award” from HUPO and various time Research Productivity Award from Ministry of Science and Technology, Pakistan are part of his CV. He is also actively involved in arranging national and international different scientific events.
