DEAR PREGNANT WOMAN 🤰💔
If your doctor ever says your baby’s cord is “around the neck” — please read this twice! 😭
I know the fear that grips your heart when you hear “cord around the baby’s neck.”
You start crying, imagining the worst... 💔
But here’s the truth many people don’t know 👇
👉 Cord around the neck (nuchal cord) happens in 1 out of every 3 pregnancies — and most babies are born perfectly fine!
The umbilical cord is covered with a jelly-like substance that protects it, so the baby can still get oxygen and nutrients even if it wraps once or twice.
BUT
It becomes dang£rous when:
❌ The cord is wrapped tightly multiple times
❌ Baby’s heartbeat drops during labour
❌ Or there’s reduced movement before labour starts
That’s why every pregnant woman should:
✅ Attend all antenatal checkups
✅ Do regular scans (especially 3rd trimester)
✅ Rep0rt immediately if baby’s movement reduces
💡Many babies survived this situation just because the mother acted fast and followed her doctor’s advice!
Mama, don’t panic — just stay alert and informed. ❤️
A single scan can save a life. 👶
