Adenomyosis
Adenomyosis happens when tissue that lines the uterus grows into the muscle wall of the uterus. During a menstrual cycle, the tissue thickens, breaks down and bleeds. Painful periods with heavy bleeding can result.

Liver pathologies identified on ultrasound include diffuse diseases like fatty liver (steatosis), cirrhosis (scarring), and hepatitis (inflammation), and focal lesions such as cysts, benign hemangiomas, or malignant tumors and metastases. Vascular issues like portal hypertension or portal vein thrombosis can also be detected, as well as biliary problems like gallstones and cholecystitis.

Increased echo texture" (sometimes written as increased echogenicity or heterogeneous echotexture) is a descriptive term used in ultrasound reports.
It refers to the way tissues look on the scan when compared to what is considered normal for that organ.

Here’s a breakdown:
Echotexture = the internal appearance (grainy pattern) of an organ/tissue on ultrasound.

Increased echo texture = the tissue is reflecting more ultrasound waves than usual, so it looks brighter or more coarse than normal.

Common meanings (depending on the organ):

Liver: Increased echotexture often suggests fatty infiltration (fatty liver), chronic liver disease, or fibrosis.

Kidneys: May indicate chronic kidney disease or scarring.

Pancreas: Can be due to inflammation (pancreatitis), fatty replacement, or fibrosis.

Important notes:

It is a non-specific finding: increased echotexture alone does not make a diagnosis. It just tells the doctor the organ looks abnormal.
