Morels are among the most prized of the edible mushrooms because they have a rich and complex flavour that goes well with almost any food. Morel also has a very distinctive appearance which makes them readily identifiable, assuming they can be found at all. Morels are notorious for being very elusive mushrooms.

Kashmir has a wide range of forests & among other herbs morels also grew here. People from far flung areas collect morels from the forests . We divide the morels in different catagories i.e

صحیح بخاری:جلد اول:حدیث نمبر 44
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جو شخص لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ کہہ دے اور اس کے دل میں ایک جو کے برابر نیکی (ایمان) ہو وہ دوزخ سے نکالا جائے گا اور جو لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ کہے اور اس کے دل میں گہیوں کے ایک دانے کے برابر خیر (ایمان) ہو وہ (بھی) دوزخ سے نکالا جائے گا اور جو شخص لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ کہے اور اس کے دل میں ایک ذرہ برابر نیکی (ایمان) ہو وہ بھی دوزخ سے نکالا جائے گا، ابوعبداللہ نے کہا کہ ابان نے بروایت قتادہ، انس، نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے بجائے خیر کے ایمان کا لفظ روایت کیا ہے۔

Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Whoever said "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a barley grain will be taken out of Hell. And whoever said: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah and has in his heart good (faith) equal to the weight of a wheat grain will be taken out of Hell.
