Are you too clueless about your Morning Sickness during pregnancy? 🤢🤰
Then you are not alone. About 70% of pregnant women get morning sickness during their pregnancy and about 3% of them feels intense nausea and at times, their vomiting can get severe too. 🤮
While the cause of morning sickness may vary patient to patient but generally it caused by low blood sugar or the rise in pregnancy hormones, such as human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) or estrogen.
Morning sickness may be worsened by stress, being overtired, eating certain foods, or having sensitivity to motion (motion sickness).
But don't worry, you can do a few things to feel better. These include:
1- Eat a few crackers or toast in the morning to help settle your stomach. Keep a few crackers at bedside and eat a couple before getting up. 🥪
2- Eat five or six small meals a day instead of three large meals. 🥣
3- Avoid spicy and fatty foods. Eat bland foods such as bananas, rice, dry toast, plain baked potato, gelatin, broth, eggs, tofu or applesauce. 🥚🥔🍌🍜
4- Eat healthy snacks between meals, such as yogurt, peanut butter on apple slices or celery, cheese, milk or nuts. 🧈🍞🧀🥛
5- Drink plenty of fluids, especially water, throughout the day. 🥤

7- Avoid odors, flickering lights, other situations that bother you and trigger your nausea.
8- Make tea with real grated ginger or try ginger candies. ☕
9- Get plenty of rest. 🧘♀️
10- Keep rooms well-ventilated, turn on a fan, or go outside from time to time to get some fresh air. 🍃❄️
11- Smell fresh-smelling, pleasant scents such as lemon, orange or mint. 🍋🍊
