Yesterday it was Labour day celebrated universally extended variety of programmes for the right of Labourers. Associated with that, I thought of sharing my opinion, that labour class, including a common man works hard in difficult situations, even at his home, where there is a high chance to encounter the penetrating injury or any sort of blunt trauma in the eye ball. This can lead to loss of vision and cosmetic problems. So it is advise able to every one working in this situation that they must use the protecting glasses.

Diabetes and its effects on the eyes.

Its a very common systemic problem, and it affects almost all part of body and mostly vital organs.
In this vital organ retina of the eye ball is affected, which is crucial part for the good vision.
About its management the most important part is to keep the diabetes status in control, like by taking proper required diet, exercises, Medicines in form of tablets and injection Insulin.
But for the eye ball retina, mostly if its in the form of new vessels formation on the retina the LASER Photocoagulation is required and some sort of inject-able medicines inside the eye ball. like Avastine , Lucentis , Ilea etc.
and in some cases its most important part of treatment, is to damage the abnormal new vessels.
But I have noticed that commonly patients are scared of this type of injections in the eye balls. It is advisable for every one not to be scared of these type of injections. As they are very helpful to save vision.

Dryness in the eyes?
A common eye problem caused by excessive computer and mobile use. In addition to that the excessive dust in the atmosphere is making it worse. It is more common in females. Eye dryness also starts after an eye surgery like LASIK or even Cataract surgery.
Solution to problem: Cold compression or washing eyes with cold water is helpful.
Wearing sun glasses while going out in the day time also soothes the dryness.
If dryness is not relieved, then eye drops or other measures need to be done. So make sure you visit a proper eye specialist
