Some Questions from DRAP People
1. Is DRAP empowered to regulate Medical practioners. If yes under what law.
2.If Medical practitioners don’t prescribe who will be entitled to prescribe?.
3. Are 22 karore people able to choose or select which nutraceutical is needed or deficient.
4. How lifestyle and metabolic diseases like diabetes, CVD, obesity, osteoporosis, Alzheimer, arthritis etc would be managed because they are directly linked to eating habits. Would Medical Practitioners be eligible to advice about diet. If yes than if they can advice ginger, garlic, broccoli, turmeric etc as diet that why they can’t advice capsules, tablets, syrups etc of these products.
5. Why vitamins, minerals and herbal Suppliments of multinationals like, optilets M, silimarin , surbex T, vidalin M, incremin syrup, CAC1000, etc are halal for doctors but our identical products are haram.?
6.Why vitamins and minerals products are included in the essential medicines list of DRAP .
7. Would not doctors be prescribing products containing vitamins and minerals purchased by Federal and Provincial Government Institutions or people will be deprived from these preparations.?
7. Why DRAP doesn’t fulfill their responsibility of price fixation of all therapeutic goods including nutraceuticals and herbal products. Only for the benifit of big pharmaceutical companies ?
8. If these are not drugs, Why DRAP allowed contract manufacturing from nutraceuticals companies to big allopathic companies .
9. If these are not prescribed that why DRAP issued brand names to the nutraceuticals and herbal formulations?
10. Why DRAP issued sanitizers to allopathic companies when it was not drug and was to be delisted without any notice as required under the law.
11. Why enlistment of medicated cosmetics was stopped and NRO was given to specific companies. Why not enlistment of these products is not issued to nutraceutical and herbal companies having sections. What is barrier?.
12. Why sanitizers have been delisted despite the fact that alcohol based sanitizers are included as drugs in the essential medicines list of DRAP and clearly defined and regulated under SRO 412.
13. Why judgment of Sindh High Court has been overruled which declared the nutraceuticals as drugs.?
14. Why 54 nutraceuticals and herbal products have been declared as drugs despite the fact that these are nutraceuticals by all local and international definitions and practices. Resultantly they are to be regulated under DRAP Act 212 as Health Products and SRO 412?.
15. Why nutraceuticals are included in the Covid 19 management local and international guidelines .
16. Why nutraceuticals are included in the management of lifestyle and chronic diseases like arthritis, osteoporosis, atherosclerosis etc.
