Agar tum serious ho jao,
log uncomfortable ho jaate hain.
Agar joke maar do,
sab theek lagta hai.
This episode explains why joking feels safer than feeling — and what that costs us emotionally.

Ramadan slows everything down.
Your body. Your routine. Your reactions.

But notice something…

The moment something feels heavy —
we crack a joke.

Roza lag raha hai? Meme.
Energy low? Sarcasm.
Emotional trigger? “Chalo choro yaar.”

In Pakistan, humour is our default regulator.
We don’t always process.
We perform.

And maybe that’s why Ramadan hits differently.
Because it forces stillness.
And stillness doesn’t laugh things away.

It reveals them.

This isn’t anti-humour.
It’s awareness.

Maybe this Ramadan, we don’t have to stop being funny.
But we can ask ourselves —
what am I protecting with this joke?

🎧 Humour as a Coping Mechanism — out now.

💬 Do you use humour to survive… or to avoid?

24/02/2026

Pakistanis aren’t “just funny.”
We joke through pain
because crying publicly is awkward
and honesty feels unsafe.
This episode explores humour as survival language — not entertainment.

Ramadan Mubarak 🌙

Ramadan comes every year and quietly asks us one question:
What are you carrying that you don’t need anymore?

Not just food.
Not just habits.

But:

guilt that never belonged to you

resentment you’ve been recycling

pressure to prove yourself

people-pleasing disguised as “good manners”

emotional noise you’ve normalized

This month is a reset — spiritually, emotionally, mentally.
Not to become perfect.
To become clear.

Ameen. 🤍

Some people don’t use humour to entertain.
They use it to survive.

They joke when they’re overwhelmed.
They laugh when they’re anxious.
They stay “fun” so no one asks what’s really going on.

Because in many homes, cultures, and friendships —
being honest comes with consequences.
But being funny stays socially acceptable.

This Monday, here’s a soft reminder:
You don’t always have to perform strength.
You’re allowed to be real.

đź’¬ Have you ever used humour to hide what you were actually feeling?

🎙️ Ab Next Kya — where we talk about what’s under the laughter.

Pakistanis aren’t “just funny.”
We joke because crying publicly is awkward.
Because honesty makes people uncomfortable.
Because humour keeps us liked — even when we’re hurting.
This episode talks about humour as survival language — not entertainment.

We’re taught to treat uncertainty like a problem to solve.
Make a plan. Stay positive. Push through.

But when the world feels unstable, the first response isn’t strategy —
it’s safety.

Your nervous system doesn’t ask for answers.
It asks for reassurance, grounding, and time.

So if you’ve been feeling restless, anxious, or stuck lately,
it doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means you’re responding normally to abnormal conditions.

This Wednesday, be gentle with yourself.
Understanding comes before control.

đź’¬ What helps you feel grounded when everything feels uncertain?

Mondays come with pressure —
to know what you’re doing,
where you’re headed,
and how everything will turn out.

But here’s the truth:
Clarity doesn’t always come before action.
Sometimes it comes because you dared to be honest with yourself first.

Honest about what’s no longer working.
Honest about what you’re afraid of.
Honest about what you actually need right now.

This week, don’t chase perfect plans.
Choose honest steps.

💬 What’s one thing you’re being honest with yourself about this Monday?

Jab har cheez uncertain ho,
toh alert rehna weakness nahi hota.
Survival hota hai.

Is episode mein hum baat kar rahe hain
us anxiety ki jo personal nahi — environmental hoti hai.

We’ve been taught to chase motivation —
as if the right quote, reel, or routine will suddenly fix everything.

But motivation comes and goes.
Some days you feel inspired.
Some days you feel nothing at all.

What actually carries you forward isn’t hype —
it’s knowing why you started when no one was watching.

Purpose doesn’t scream.
It whispers.
And it shows up even on the days you don’t feel like it.

This Monday, don’t ask yourself:
“How do I stay motivated?”

Ask instead:
“What am I building that’s worth coming back to?”

đź’¬ What keeps you going when motivation disappears?

🎙️ Ab Next Kya — conversations beyond hype, into real momentum.
