As part of the ongoing SPPISK project, the TVI and AKU teams conducted interviews to fill key positions supporting immunization-integrated services in SHRUCs and HRUCs across Karachi Division. The session was organized at the Karachi Project Office.

Trust for Vaccines & Immunization (TVI), as a key project partner, participated in a coordination meeting organized by Aga Khan University to review progress and strategies for the project “𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬”

District Health Officers and DHMTs from East, West, and Malir aligned on objectives, performance indicators, and implementation priorities. Dr. Zamir Hussain Suhag, Technical Director at TVI, led the technical session addressing challenges and outlining the way forward.

Dr. Zahid Ali Memon, Associate Professor at Aga Khan University, presented an honorary commendation to Dr. Zamir Hussain Suhag, reaffirming the strong partnership and shared commitment to strengthening integrated primary healthcare in the region.

A Step Forward for Child Health!

From 17–29 November 2025, all children aged 6 months to 5 years will receive the free, safe, and WHO-approved MR vaccine by EPI, ensuring a healthier and brighter future for every child.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡

TVI successfully completed the recruitment of Vaccinators and Community Facilitators at DEOC Killa Abdullah, marking another step forward in enhancing community health services.

A constructive meeting with Dr. Zafar Iqbal (TFP–EPI) was also held to review project progress, finalize the mobilization teams, and discuss the deployment of mobile vaccination units for wider outreach.

The Vaccinators’ Performance Review Meeting was successfully conducted at TOB, Aga Khan University (AKU), Karachi.

The session was jointly chaired by project teams from AKU and TVI, focusing on facility-wise performance, coverage achievements, existing challenges, and the strategic way forward.

To acknowledge dedication and excellence, tokens of appreciation were awarded to the top-performing vaccinators for their exceptional contributions to immunization efforts.

To ensure that no child is left behind, Mr. Riaz Hussain, Manager Operations (District East, TVI) under the EPPISK Project, conducted supportive supervision and monitoring in Syed Village, UC-8 Malir Cantt, District Malir.

This initiative reflects TVI’s continued commitment to delivering quality health services and timely routine immunization for all eligible children.

TVI, in partnership with Aga Khan University (AKU), has successfully launched the first day of training for the Umeed-e-Nau (New Hope) Endline Survey in Timargara, Lower Dir District, KPK. The session was attended by 28 participants, including 24 data collectors and 4 team leaders.

The Umeed-e-Nau project is dedicated to improving maternal, newborn, and child health in Pakistan by scaling up evidence-based interventions and strengthening health systems.

Project emphasizes enhancing healthcare quality and accessibility in underserved rural communities, ensuring lasting impact for families across Pakistan.
