WHO DELEGATES VISITS RESCUE HEADQUARTERS AND ACADEMY
World Health Organization (WHO) delegation including Mr. Michael Team Leader Emergency Management, Dr. Jamshaid & Dr. Farah Technical Team Manager visited the Emergency Services Headquarters and Academy to witness the capacity of Emergency Services Academy as WHO Collaborating Centre for integrated Emergency Services in Pakistan and to classify the Emergency Medical Team of Rescue 1122 Punjab as per WHO standards.
Head of Medical Wing Dr. Ali Imam Syed and senior officers from Academy briefed the delegation about specialized trainings on Medical & Trauma Emergencies, Fire & Hazmat Emergencies, Collapsed Structure Search & Rescue, and Water Rescue & Flood Emergencies. They have been briefed about the role of 24/7 operations of the Emergency Operation Centre to ensure uniform standards of the Service. The delegation witnessed the integrated Emergency Management & Dispatch System, combining Call Management and GPS Tracking for prompt response. The delegation appreciated the training standard and integrated emergency management system of Punjab Emergency Service.
