A 28-year-old female, presents with a 2 years history of bilateral knee pain, worsened by activities like climbing stairs, squatting, and prolonged sitting. 😓😓
She describes the pain as dull and aching with occasional sharpness, along with crepitus and mild stiffness, particularly in the morning. There is no history of trauma, but she has prolonged standing hours and job requires alot of packaging and picking up objects from floor. ✨Physical examination reveals tenderness over both patellae and a positive patellar grind test bilaterally. X-rays show osteophytosis at the femoral trochlea and patellae with mild joint space narrowing in the patellofemoral compartment, suggesting early patellofemoral osteoarthritis. 🫨

Based on her clinical presentation and imaging, the diagnosis is patellofemoral osteophytosis, likely due to overuse and potential patellar maltracking. Management includes activity modification, physical therapy focusing on strengthening the quadriceps and improving patellar tracking, and muscle setting exercises for pain relief. 🌟
