*Building Resilience: Stress Management Workshop for PGRs at PIMH*

To address the rising stress and psychological challenges faced by medical trainees, *Medical Education & Counselling Department of PIMH in Collaboration with Wellness Club* by Department of Clinical Psychology organized an interactive Stress Management Workshop for postgraduate residents (PGRs). The session focused on practical coping strategies to manage academic pressure, workplace stress, and enhance psychological wellbeing.
This CME activity held under the *patronage of Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid,* Executive Director, the workshop organizers were *Prof. Dr. Ammara Butt* and *Ms. Aqila Unbrin,* Principal Clinical Psychologist,
*Facilitators *Ms. Sara Ishaq and Mr. Yousaf Raza*( Clinical Psychologists) led engaging activities, relaxation techniques, and scenario-based discussions to help participants develop healthier ways of managing stress.
*Ms. Aqila Unbrin* highlighted the growing need for such initiatives to support postgraduate residents and promote better psychological wellbeing in demanding medical environments.
In her remarks, *Prof. Dr. Ammara Butt* emphasized the importance of learning to manage everyday stressors, while *Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid* concluded by encouraging skill building, realistic expectations, and the practice of gratitude to strengthen psychological wellbeing.

🎯 The objective of lecture was to increase interns’ understanding of anxiety disorders in individuals with intellectually disability,including including their clinical features, assessment, and basic management approaches.✨ 🧠✨.

*🌙 “Breaking Stigma, Sharing Compassion: Avicenna Students Celebrate Ramadan with PIMH Patients”*

The *Wellness Club* of Punjab Institute of Mental Health (PIMH), Lahore, in collaboration with *Avicenna Medical & Dental College* , successfully organized a **Ramazan Kareem Aftari for Destitute / Homeless patients of PIMH* .

The event was graced by *Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid,* Executive Director PIMH, who joined the gathering and appreciated the MBBS students of Avicenna Medical College for their compassionate community initiative for psychiatric patients.
*Dr. Shandana* , Co-Chairperson from Avicenna Medical College, highlighted the importance of community service and encouraged students to dedicate time and empathy to patients who are often neglected by their families.
*Ms. Aqila Unbrin* , Principal Clinical Psychologist, emphasized the need to destigmatize psychiatric illnesses and oriented the students about the Wellness Club at PIMH and its objectives.

The students engaged patients in *Ramadan-themed activities, including quizzes and a Naat competition,* where patients shared the importance of Ramadan. Gifts were distributed among the patients, and the students also shared Aftar with the residents of PIMH, reflecting true compassion and inclusion.

The visiting students were also given a *briefing about PIMH* and the mental health services provided by the institute. Both institutions expressed their commitment to future collaborations for meaningful community initiatives benefiting PIMH patients.

*✨ Let’s Celebrate the Spirit of Ramadan Together ✨*

A beautiful Ramadan gathering was organized by *Ms. Shumaila Jabeen (Senior Clinical Psychologist)* and her dedicated interns in collaboration with the *Wellness Club* Convened by *Ms Aqila Unbrin ,* Principal Clinical Psychologist 🌙📖
The session featured Tilawat-e-Quran, Naat-e-Rasool (SAW), an Islamic discussion, and an engaging quiz, creating a warm and reflective atmosphere for everyone present. The patients recited heartfelt Naat e Rasool e Maqbool.
We were honored by the presence of the Unit C Head, Registrar, and PGRs, and especially grateful that *Executive Director PIMH, Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid,* joined the session herself. She appreciated the wonderful efforts of Ms. Shumaila Jabeen and the Wellness Club and emphasized that such meaningful activities should continue in the future. 💫

*Governance in Action: Driving Excellence Through Performance Review*

A Governance Monitoring Meeting, chaired by Executive Director PIMH *Prof. Dr. Aysha Rashid,* brought leadership together to review *July–December 2025 KPIs* across all departments, aligning performance with our hospital’s mission of quality, safety, and patient-centered care.

With data presented by our CQI Coordinator, priority areas requiring attention were identified, and targeted plans were developed to strengthen outcomes, improve efficiency, and elevate service excellence.
