What is homeostasis?

Homeostasis is the process by which living organisms maintain a stabled internal environment, despite of the changes in the external environment.

E.g

Our body keeps its temperature around 37°C, even if it’s very hot or cold outside.

The level of sugar (glucose) in the blood is controlled, so it doesn’t get too high or too low. If it is not controlled it will lead to diabetes.

The balance of water and salts in your body is regulated so that cells can work properly.
