اگر آنکھ سے تھوڑا پانی آ جائے تو کیا یہ نارمل ہے
ہاں یہ نارمل ہے

اور کیا احتیاط ہے ہسپتال والوں نے راہنمائی نہیں کی

سفید موتیے (کیٹریکٹ) کے آپریشن کے بعد مکمل صحت یابی کے لیے احتیاطی تدابیر بہت ضروری ہیں۔ یہ آپریشن عام طور پر محفوظ ہوتا ہے، لیکن آپریشن کے بعد آنکھ حساس ہو جاتی ہے، اس لیے ڈاکٹر کی دی گئی مخصوص ہدایات پر عمل کریں۔ عام طور پر بحالی میں چند ہفتے لگتے ہیں۔ یہاں اہم احتیاطی تدابیر ہیں (یہ عام معلومات ہیں، اپنے ڈاکٹر سے ضرور مشورہ کریں کیونکہ ہر مریض کی صورتحال مختلف ہو سکتی ہے)
1. آنکھوں کے قطرے (Eye Drops) کا استعمال
ڈاکٹر جو اینٹی بائیوٹک، سٹیرائیڈ یا اینٹی انفلامیٹری قطرے تجویز کریں، انہیں بالکل مقررہ وقت اور طریقے سے استعمال کریں (عام طور پر چند ہفتوں تک)۔
قطرے انفیکشن سے بچاتے ہیں اور سوزش کم کرتے ہیں۔ اگر قطرے ختم ہو جائیں تو دوبارہ لے لیں۔
قطرے لگانے سے پہلے ہاتھ اچھی طرح دھوئیں اور ڈراپر کو آنکھ یا کسی سطح سے نہ چھوئیں۔
2. آنکھ کی حفاظت
آنکھ نہ رگڑیں اور نہ چھوئیں۔ خارش ہو تو صرف صاف ٹشو سے ہلکا سا پوچھیں۔
سوتے وقت پہلے 1 ہفتہ (یا ڈاکٹر کی ہدایت کے مطابق) آنکھ پر پلاسٹک شیلڈ (Eye Shield) یا پٹی لگا کر سوئیں تاکہ حادثاتی طور پر آنکھ پر دباؤ نہ پڑے۔
باہر جاتے وقت دھوپ کا چشمہ (100% UV پروٹیکشن والا) ضرور پہنیں۔ آنکھیں روشنی کے لیے حساس ہو جاتی ہیں۔
3. سرگرمیوں سے پرہیز
بھاری وزن اٹھانے، جھکنے، یا زور لگانے والی ورزش سے گریز کریں (کم از کم 1-2 ہفتے)۔ یہ آنکھ کے اندر دباؤ بڑھا سکتا ہے۔
پہلے ہفتے میں تیراکی، گرم ٹب، سونا یا پانی میں ڈوبنے سے مکمل پرہیز کریں (انفیکشن کا خطرہ)۔
گرد آلود، ہوادار یا دھواں والے ماحول سے دور رہیں۔ شاور کرتے وقت آنکھ میں صابن یا شیمپو نہ جانے دیں (پہلے ہفتے میں بالوں کو پیچھے کی طرف دھوئیں)۔
ڈرائیونگ: عام طور پر 24-48 گھنٹے بعد اگر نظر صاف ہو تو ڈاکٹر کی اجازت سے۔
4. روزمرہ کی دیکھ بھال
آنکھ کو پانی، دھول یا گندگی سے بچائیں۔
ہلکی سرگرمیاں (جیسے چہل قدمی، ٹی وی دیکھنا، ہلکا پڑھنا) جلد شروع کی جا سکتی ہیں، لیکن اسکرین ٹائم زیادہ نہ کریں۔
میک اپ، آئی لائنر وغیرہ پہلے 1-2 ہفتے نہ لگائیں۔
اگر درد، شدید لالی، نظر میں دھندلا پن بڑھے، یا کوئی غیر معمولی مسئلہ ہو تو فوراً ڈاکٹر سے رابطہ کریں۔
5. فالو اپ وزٹ
آپریشن کے بعد ڈاکٹر کے بتائے گئے تمام چیک اپ (عام طور پر اگلے دن، 1 ہفتہ، 1 ماہ وغیرہ) ضرور کریں۔ ان میں نظر چیک ہوتی ہے اور ضرورت پڑنے پر علاج ایڈجسٹ کیا جاتا ہے۔

مریض کا سوال:
My father visited a well-known hospital for an eye checkup in 2021 and was diagnosed with glaucoma. In 2026, doctors there also diagnosed him with cataracts and recommended surgery, claiming it would resolve both issues. Doubting how surgery could correct glaucoma, we sought a second opinion from another reputable institute. They found no evidence of either glaucoma or cataracts. We are now uncertain about how to proceed. Please guide me

جواب:
Glaucoma is damage to the optic nerve, often (but not always) linked to high eye pressure. It is tricky and needs multiple tests for diagnosis. It is typically a lifelong condition that usually cannot be "cured" or fully resolved by cataract surgery alone. However in some cases it becomes easily controllable after Cataract surgery.

Cataract is clouding of the natural lens curable with surgery (lens replacement). Diagnosis is usually straightforward via slit-lamp exam.

Removing the cataract can mildly lower eye pressure in some people (sometimes enough to reduce medication needs), and in certain types (e.g., angle-closure glaucoma), it can help open the drainage angle. However, it does not resolve or cure established glaucoma.

The second opinion finding no evidence of either condition is reassuring but needs reconciliation with the prior records (e.g., was the 2021 glaucoma diagnosis based on high pressure only, or actual nerve damage? Has anything changed since?).

Therefore my personal recommendation is to consult with an ophthalmologist with all prior record and discuss with him regarding future line of treatment.

مجھے تھوڑی سی رہنمائی چاہیے تھی میرا دائیں آنکھ کا موتیا کا آپریشن ہوا ہے جس کی وجہ سے اس آنکھ کی بینائی تیز ہو گئی ہے جبکہ دوسری آنکھ کی بینائی کم ہے اب ڈاکٹر کہہ رہے ہیں کہ مجھے چشمہ لگانے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے انہوں نے قریب کی نظر کا چشمہ کہا ہے لگانے کے لیے اب جس آنکھ کا آپریشن ہوا ہے اس آنکھ کی بینائی قریب کی زیادہ کمزور ہے جبکہ دوسری آنکھ کی بینائی بھی کم ہے مگر اس کے مقابلے میں تیز ہے انہوں نے دونوں آنکھوں کا سیم نمبر دیا ہے لگانے کے لیے جبکہ میں مطمئن نہیں ہو رہی اب کیونکہ بچپن سے نظر کمزور ہے اور چشمہ لگانے کی عادت بھی بہت زیادہ ہے تو میں بغیر چشمہ کے اچھا فیل نہیں کر رہی مجھے گائیڈ کریں کہ مجھے کیا کرنا چاہیے

جواب:
آپ کی بات سمجھ آ گئی ہے۔ موتیا کے آپریشن کے بعد یہ صورتحال بہت عام ہے، اور آپ کی پریشانی بالکل جائز یے۔

دائیں آنکھ (جس کا آپریشن ہوا) میں عام طور پر دور کی بینائی بہت بہتر ہو جاتی ہے (مونو فوکل لینس کی وجہ سے)۔
لیکن قریب کی نظر (پڑھنے، موبائل دیکھنے، سلائی وغیرہ) کمزور ہو جاتی ہے، اس لیے قریب کی نظر کا چشمہ (reading glasses) کی ضرورت پڑتی ہے۔

بائیں آنکھ کی بینائی پہلے سے کمزور ہے، اس لیے دونوں آنکھوں میں فرق ہے۔ ڈاکٹر نے دونوں آنکھوں کے لیے ایک ہی نمبر لکھا ہے—یہ reading glasses کے لیے عام ہے، لیکن اگر دونوں آنکھوں کی بینائی مختلف ہے تو بعض اوقات مختلف نمبر یا پروگریسو لینز (جو دور اور قریب دونوں کے لیے کام کرتے ہیں) بہتر ہو سکتے ہیں۔

بچپن سے چشمہ لگانے کی عادت ہونے کی وجہ سے بغیر چشمہ کے "اچھا فیل" نہ کرنا بالکل نارمل ہے۔ بہت سے لوگ آپریشن کے بعد بھی پہلے والا چشمہ لگانے کی کوشش کرتے ہیں، لیکن اگر آپریشن والی آنکھ کی دور کی نظر اب بہتر ہے تو پرانا چشمہ الٹا اثر کر سکتا ہے۔ ڈاکٹر نے کہا ہے کہ "چشمہ لگانے کی ضرورت نہیں" تو اس کا مطلب غالباً دور کی نظر کا مکمل چشمہ نہیں، صرف قریب کے کام کے لیے reading glasses ہے۔

میرا ذاتی مشورہ یہ ھے کہ
ڈاکٹر کی تجویز پر عمل کریں۔ جو reading glasses انہوں نے لکھے ہیں، انہیں قریب کے کام (پڑھنا، کھانا پکانا، فون دیکھنا) کے لیے استعمال کریں۔ پہلے 1-2 ہفتے آزمائیں۔ اگر دونوں آنکھوں کے نمبر ایک جیسے ہیں تو بھی یہ شروع میں کام آ سکتے ہیں۔
اگر مطمئن نہیں ہیں تو دوسری رائے ضرور لیں۔
آنکھوں کے اسپیشلسٹ (ophthalmologist) سے دوبارہ چیک کروائیں۔
انہیں بتائیں کہ آپ بچپن سے glasses wearer ہیں، دائیں آنکھ کی قریب کی نظر کتنی کمزور ہے، اور بائیں آنکھ کیسے ہے۔
پوچھیں کہ کیا پروگریسو لینز (bifocal/progressive glasses) یا monovision (ایک آنکھ دور، ایک قریب کے لیے) کا آپشن بہتر ہو سکتا ہے۔
