This outstanding accomplishment is a testament to KEMU’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, institutional integrity, and continuous quality enhancement in medical education. Attaining this top score in HEC’s rigorous evaluation reflects the university’s dedication to maintaining the highest standards of education, research, and governance. This accomplishment is not possible without the visionary guidance and commitment to fostering an environment of academic excellence and innovation of Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Vice Chancellor, KEMU, and the tireless efforts, hard work, and commitment of Prof. Muhammad Imran, Director QEC, KEMU, were instrumental in this success.

It is a matter of great honour that our research collaborations are yielding remarkable outcomes.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Team, King Edward Medical University, including Dr. Muhammad Ehsan ul Haq and Dr. Saba Hanif, actively participated in the International PAP Conference.

Dr. Muhammad Ehsan ul Haq delivered an insightful talk on Complex Maxillofacial Tumors: Diagnostic and Surgical Challenges – An Experience of 12 Years.

Furthermore, our research-based case presentations achieved second and third prizes in collaboration with De’Montmorency College of Dentistry and Fatima Memorial College of Medicine and Dentistry.

Together, we strive to advance research and clinical excellence in the field of Maxillofacial Surgery.

Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery believes in teamwork and collaboration with other specialties to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Today’s case was managed in collaboration with the Department of Plastic Surgery:
• Procedure: Resection with safe margins of Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the right buccal mucosa with extended supra-omohyoid neck dissection.
• Reconstruction: Performed using a Radial Artery Forearm Free Flap (RAFFF) by the Plastic Surgery team.

A challenging case of right facial fungal infection was successfully managed through surgical teamwork between OMFS KEMU and Fatima Jinnah Medical University, with the surgery performed at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The case involved joint efforts of ENT, Eye, and OMFS teams.
