𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒃𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒎 - 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒔

School, a place which is the second home to the students, is supposed to be as safe as any home should be. Unfortunately we are living in an era where with advancement in safety devices we have invented weapons to destroy peace as well. Neither the homes nor the schools are safe anymore leave the streets aside.

Why the schools are targeted? Let’s see some of the reasons for this heinous crime, that came out as a result of researches worldwide:
- Victims of Bully, teenage perpetrators avenging teachers or want to get back to students who have hurt or bullied them
- Mental health problems
- Culture of violence in entertainment, media, video games
- Easy access to fi****ms make it easy for them to get their frustration out
- Alcohol or drugs abuse with other factors
- As a terror attack, by a group of terrorists, or extremism in the name of religion or against the country

Some of the long terms effects of such attacks that are reported includes:
- Post-traumatic stress disorder
- Anxiety disorders
- Panic attacks
- Phobias
- Attendance and grads of students
- Increase in likelihood of having to repeat a grade

Inna, Elisei and her younger son were stuck in Peremoha when the fighting started.
"On 11 March, the Russians gave us permission to leave. They even waved us goodbye and wished us luck. Then when we were crossing a field, they started firing at us from every direction," Inna said.
There were five cars in the convoy of vehicles evacuating. Elisei was in the second car, in which no one survived.
"I crawled through the field and saved my three-year-old son by dragging him by the hood of his jacket. The fact that any of us made it out alive was pure luck," she said.

She says her younger child is the only reason she's able to carry on. She's filed a complaint with the police and wants justice for Elisei's killing.
"I want the world to know about the crimes of Russia. I want every victim to be counted. I want Russia to be held accountable for the people, children and women, they have killed on our land," she said.
Elisei is among more than two hundred children known to have been killed in Ukraine so far, according to the country's government. Hundreds more have been injured.

WHAT DOES WAR KILLING DO TO A CHILD?
When we talk about wars, we ultimately think of its effect on men. No doubt they suffer a lot but not more than those innocent children.
Children are killed and maimed which is a result of torture. The use of explosive weapons have a devastating impact on children. I’m 2020, explosive weapons and explosive remnants of war were responsible for at least 47% of all child casualties.
Recruitment or use of children in armed forces refers to compulsory or forced recruitment of children into any kind of armed force. The use of boys and girls by armed forces can be in capacity, including as fighters, cooks, messengers, spies or are subjected to sexual exploitation. Between 2005-2020 about 93,000 children were verified as recruited.
Attacks on schools or hospitals put children’s lives at risk, disrupt their learning and limit their access to medical assistance, which can have a lifelong impact on their education, economic opportunities and overall health. Recall the atomic war on Hiroshima-Nagasaki, this left a never ending nuclear affect on children. This induced many health problems, like leukaemia, disability and much more. Children, mostly girls, were forcibly married, sexually exploited.
Many other forms of violence are committed against children during war time. Besides human inflicted torture, children suffer after effects of war too.
We should try to attain peace not for us but for our children. We need to build a safe place for them. PROTECT OUR CHILDREN.

𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙢 - 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧

Meet Shahid, a 9 year old boy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, an area infamous for its unlawful activities. To provide him with a better life, Shahid's parents migrated to Rawalpindi in the neighbouring province of Punjab where he was enrolled in school. Shahid was soon kicked out, however, as his family was unable to pay the fee.

Shahid then joined his father, working hours in a garbage dump. "I'm tired most of the night," he said. "It's cold, sometimes even wet. I wear three layers, but I'm still shivering. Shahid is just one of many Pakistani children facing the adversities of child labor. It is evident that work has deprived Shahid of a normal childhood. He has to carry all the worries of an adult, in the body, mind, and heart of a child.

All children deserve a childhood that enables them to thrive both physically and mentally. Support the movement against child labor to ensure that no child has to compromise on their dreams. Remember, today's children are tomorrow's future.

𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝘽𝙡𝙤𝙤𝙢 - 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧

Nearly 1 in 10 children are subjected to child labor worldwide. And almost half of
those children are engaged in hazardous work that directly affects their physical
and mental well being.
Children in Pakistan are subjected to the worst forms
of child labor ranging from forced domestic work to even sexual exploitation.
Because of such consequences, child labor not only endangers the future of a
child, but also the future of a nation.
Thus, it is important to be aware of this social evil and the impact it has. It is inarguable that all children deserve a happy and healthy childhood and being informed is just the first step towards that goal.

Catharsis is a blessing that we all deserve. Pain is there to end one day, stories are to be told, and burdens are to be shared. But not everyone have someone who can listen and share their pain or they feel no one will ever be able to understand them and are scared of the response. Yes those are the children victim of violence including child labor, sexual abuse, war killing or school shooting victims. Releasing trapped emotions is necessary to unburden your heart. Today, *‘Let them Bloom’* campaign is bringing this opportunity at a click away where you can share a story you know.

Studies suggest writing about traumatic events can help ease the emotional pressure of negative experiences. But writing about trauma is not a cure-all and it may be less effective if people are also struggling with ongoing mental health challenges, such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder.
Talking and/or writing about it can be the first step towards helping yourself and can be the final to some.
*Because, “We can deny our experience, but our body remembers.”*

So here's the link to the safe place where you can share your experience on any of the topic listed above, complete anonymously
