📢 YDAP receiving multiple complaints from MDCAT 2025 aspirants regarding the PMDC policy.
Students are deeply concerned, stressed, and confused about the fairness of the decision taken by PMDC about MDCAT scoring and eligibility to apply for MBBS admissions.
Here are the major issues being reported:
🔹 Issues Raised by Students:
1. MDCAT 2024 candidates can apply in 2025 without attempting the new exam, giving them an unfair advantage.
2. Huge score gap: 2024 had high scorers in thousands; 2025 has very few high scorers due to a tough paper scheme.
3. Abrupt policy changing has affected the overall merit system and it seems policy has been adopted to give favor to some their favorites.
4. This policy directly affects merit, reducing seats available for genuine 2025 candidates.
5. Students feel ignored, stressed, and uncertain about their future because of sudden policy changes.
🔹 YDAP Stands with the Students and Demands:
1. PMDC must follow equal and fair criteria for both 2024 and 2025 candidates.
2. PMDC devise a uniform policy ensuring no batch gets an unfair advantage.
3. Transparent explanation be issued to students from PMDC regarding this decision.
4. Immediate review and correction of the policy be taken to protect the merit.
Young Doctors Association Pakistan requests PMDC to address these concerns of the students urgently.
