Ever wondered why diabetic neuropathy usually starts in the feet?

First Aid:
•Extinguish flames by rolling on ground or cover the patient with blanket.
•Remove clothing saturated with hot liquid.
•In case of chemical burn remove any chemical remaining on the body and wash with water.
•Cool compresses is needed.
•Cover burn area with clean dry sheeting.

Hospital care:
•Maintain ABC ( Airway breathing circulation)
•Provide humidified oxygen & give Analgesic
•Anti septic for blisters.
• Topical antibiotics
•In severe case iv Antibiotics
•Blisters may be debrided if needed.

Fluid administration 4ml/kg per % of body surface area burned for the first 24hours, with half of the first 8 hours in addition to maintenance rate.
