History & Introduction of
Hope Voluntary Organization Multan:

The poverty poses most important development challenge in developing countries like in Pakistan, to address this pressing social, economical & political issue, the participatory development approaches (PAR & PRA) has been selected as affective tools for sustainable and long term development of poorest & marginalized section of society.
Looking at these circumstances & poor condition of the people Mrs Zahida Riaz Sehrish es-tablished the a group of local activists & GRADUDATEs named HOPE who were politically unlighted and realized that they owe a great deal of return to the society at large in 2004. Wide spread ignorance, poverty, sectarianism, violence, non democratic culture & values, human specially women rights violations and social backwardness of the region of southern Punjab because of the feudalism and constant military regimes only provided extra impetus to this group of social activists. Hope is an English word which mean in Urdu , “Umeed”. The whole idea was to provide a platform to facilitate & capacitate marginalized community to make efforts to fulfill their hopes against socio economic & political disparities of the region. HVO registered in 2007 under the Voluntary social welfare agencies ordinance 1961. (XLVI of 1961)
