Dr. Ahmed Junaid, Director MPRC and DHO Jhelum valley Dr Tahir Raheem paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Office along with Dr Murtaza Gillani and Dr Fatima Mir from WHO .
During the visit, Dr. Junaid extended his warm congratulations to Sardar Manzoor Hussain on his recent appointment as the Provincial Program Manager (PPM) EPI AJK. In a gesture of goodwill, he presented a bouquet of flowers to Mr. Hussain and assured him of full support and collaboration for the successful implementation of EPI initiatives in AJK.

Yesterday remained an insightful day when a High profile Mission from WHO Country office Lead by Honourable WHO Country Representative Dr. Depang Luo along with worthy Secretary Health Brig. Irfan Ahmed and Respectable Director General Health Services Dr. Farooq Ahmed Noor paid a kind visit to Muzaffarabad Physical Rehabilitation Center (MPRC).
WHO mission was accompanied by Dr. Bushra Shams (Technical Officer PHC, Head of SO), Dr. Murtaza Gillani (Technical Officer, Surveillance), Dr. Shazia Khushaal (Area Coordinator) and guests from WHO Country office.
Dr. Ahmed Junaid (Director MPRC) alongwith team MPRC welcomed the dignitaries and showed them all departments of MPRC including Prosthetic Orthotic section, Workshop section for the manufacturing of Artificial Limbs, Rehabilitation Physiotherapy department, Club foot clinic, CP clinic and other associated sections.
Team MPRC also briefed the mission about an overview of all services and statistics of clientage coming from AJK and other Provinces of Pakistan.
WR highly appreciated the services being provided in MPRC and applauded the efforts of team MPRC.
He also praised the ownership of executives from Department of Health (Secretary & Director General Health Services) for their oversightness and ownership to make this center provide examplary services for Persons with disabilities and ensure His full support for this noble cause

A wonderful and much productive day spent to honor our beautiful souls (Persons with disabilities) in regard to International Day for Disabled persons.
We feel too privileged that the esteemed executive seniors of our health department marked their kind presence on my request for today's event.
Worthy seniors were
Dr. Farooq Ahmed Noor sb (Director General HS), Dr. Sardar Idrees sb (Director Admin), Dr. Farooq Awan sb (Director CDC/Additional Director), Dr. Kamran Riaz Dar sb (JED AIMS), Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan sb (PPM EPI), Dr. Murtaza Gillani sb (Director Training/FP PDSRU) who graced team MPRC with their kind presence and honoured us all.
The guests for the event were respected Ministers of Govt
Ch. Qasim Majeed sb, Sardar Zia Ul Qamar sb, Madam Taqdees Gillani sahiba, Madam. Nisara Abbasi sahiba, Mayor Muzaffarabad Mr. Sikandar Gillani sb,
Senior Representatives from ICRC Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Abdul Qader Team Lead for PRP, Miracle feet Senior Program Officer Mr. Faisal, Mr. Yasir Josh and Mr. Yasir Arafaat from PRCS AJK, Mr. Shahid Awan sb President Civil Society, Mr. Shoukat Nawaz Meer Chairman Trade Union Muzaffarabad also attended today's event.
The tue beauty was that the program was held under the flagship of Health department, GoAJK.
The main focus was to acknowledge PWD by marking them our real heros

Country Representative of World Health Organisation (WHO) Pakistan Dr. Palitha Mahipala, along with His mission, paid a first ever visit of Muzaffarabad Physical Rehabilitation Center (MPRC) Muzaffarabad.
He was welcomed by Director MPRC Dr
Ahmed Junaid and team MPRC.
The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan (PPM EPI AJK), Dr. Bushra Shams (Technical Officer, PHC) WHO along with WHO TEAM for AJK
The delegation was briefed about the services provided by MPRC regarding provision of free of cost Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation Physiotherapy for differentially abled persons, Club foot management services. Cerebral palsy supportive services for children in the center by the dedicated team of experts.
Dr. Palitha was also shown all departments of MPRC.
He highly appreciated the quality of services provided for persons coming across areas of Pakistan and ensured full support by WHO to MPRC (Department of health, GoAJK) for the strengthening of these services.

خاتون اول صدر اسلامی جمہوریہ پاکستان محترمہ ثمینہ عارف علوی نے مظفرآباد معذوروں کے ہسپتال مظفرآباد فزیکل ری ہیبلیٹیشن سنٹر ایم پی آرسی مظفرآباد کا دورہ کیا۔ڈائریکٹر ایم پی آر سی ڈاکٹر احمد جنید نے مکمل بریفنگ دی ..دوران دورہ ڈائریکٹر جنرل ہیلتھ آزاد کشمیر ڈاکٹر سردار آفتاب حسین ؛ایڈیشنل سکرٹری صحت عامہ چوہدری بشیر؛ڈپٹی ملٹری سکرٹری بریگیڈیئر نفیسہ خان ڈبلیو ایچ او ٹیکنیکل ایڈوائزر ڈاکٹر مریم ملک؛ڈبلیو ایچ او ٹیکنیکل آفیسر پرائمری ہیلتھ کیئر آزادکشمیر ڈاکٹر بشریٰ شمس؛ایچ او ڈی ممتاز عباسی اور دیگر بھی ہمراہ موجود تھے ..ڈائریکٹر ایم پی آر سی ڈاکٹر احمد جنید نے محترمہ ثمینہ عارف علوی کو مصنوعی اعضاء بنانے والے تمام ورکشاپس؛جدید مشینری کا تفصیلی معائنہ کروایا اور داخل معذور افراد کی ملاقاتیں بھی کروائیں۔جس پر ثمینہ عارف علوی نے ذاتی حیثیت سے پانچ لاکھ روپے سنٹر کے لیے عطیہ کیا۔اور مزید تعاون کے لیے اقدامات اٹھانے کی یقین دہانی کرائی اور ایک مثالی ادارہ دیکھ کر خوشی کا اظہار کیا...ڈاکٹر احمد جنید نے بتایا کہ ایم پی آر سی کی کے متعلق فزیکل ری ہیبلیٹیشن سنٹر ایم پی آرسی(MPRC)08 اکتوبر 2005 کے تباہ کن زلزلے کے بعد قائم کیا گیا تھا جو کہ محکمہ صحت (ڈیپارٹمنٹ آف ہیلتھ ) آزاد جموں و کشمیر اور انٹرنیشنل کمیٹی آف ریڈ کراس آئی سی آر سی کے درمیان اپریل2006میں ہزاروں معذور افراد کی خدمت کے لیے ایک تعمیراتی معاہدے کے تحت قائم کیا گیا تھا۔ معذور افراد جنہیں جسمانی بحالی کی خدمات کی ضرورت تھی۔ایم پی آر سی اسی بستر کا ادارہ ہے جہاں جسمانی بحالی کی سہولیات جس میں مرد اور خواتین مریضوں کے لیے الگ الگ وارڈز ہیں۔یہ جسمانی بحالی کی خدمات(مصنوعی آلات) فراہم کر رہا ہے(مصنوعی فنکشنل بازو اور ٹانگیں)جو ایم پی آر سی کے اندر وقف ورکشاپس میں تیار کیے جا رہے ہیں، واکنگ ایڈز، کلب فٹ؛بچوں میں پیدائشی پاؤں کا ٹیڑھا پن؛ اور دماغی فالج کی معاونت کا انتظامCerebal palsi کے مرض میں مبتلا بچعں کو سپورٹیو ایڈ، اپنی مرضی کے مطابق وہیل چیئرز (آئی سی آر سی کے ذریعہ فراہم کردہ) اور بحالی فزیوتھراپی خدمات زیادہ تر مفت مریضوں اور 1 اٹینڈنٹ کے لیے مفت بورڈنگ مفت تین ٹائم کھانا اور رہائش دستیاب ہے ۔ایم پی آر سی نہ صرف آزاد جموں و کشمیر بلکہ پاکستان کے پورے شمالی حصے میں اپنی نوعیت کا ایک انتہائی خصوصی مرکز ہے۔تمام را میٹیریل سوئزرلینڈ جنیوا سے درآمد شدہ آئی سی آر سی پولی پروپیلین ٹیکنالوجی آرتھوٹک اور مصنوعی آلات کی تیاری کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے ۔اس کے قیام کے بعد سے مستقل جسمانی معذوری کے19300سے زائد مریض آزاد جموں و کشمیر، گلگت بلتستان، کے پی کے، اور یہاں تک کہ دوسرے صوبوں سے بھی ایم پی آر سی میں رجسٹرڈ ہیں اور باقاعدہ/ فالو اپ جسمانی بحالی کی خدمات حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔ پاکستان میں آرمڈ فورسز انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف ری ہیبلیٹیشن میڈیسن کے علاوہ اس کی اپنی انڈور رہائش کی واحد سہولت ہے۔ڈاکٹر جنید نے مزید بتایا کہ ایم پی آر سی کو2014میں ایک خودمختار ادارے آزادکشمیر قانون ساز اسمبلی کے ایکٹ کے ذریعے قائم کیا گیا) کے طور پر محکمہ صحت آزادکشمیر کے حوالے کیا گیا۔ وزیر صحت آزادکشمیر سرپرست اعلیٰ ہیں .جبکہ سیکرٹری صحت حکومت آزاد کشمیر ایم پی آر سی بورڈ کے چیئرمین ہیں۔ آزاد جموں و کشمیر حکومت نے بھی سنٹر کے لیے کچھ فنڈز مختص کیے ہیں لیکن مفت مصنوعی اعضاء کی فراہمی سمیت سینٹر کی خدمات کو پورا کرنے کے لیے ناکافی ہیں۔ ایم پی آر سی کا بنیادی مقصد نقل و حرکت سے محروم لوگوں کے لیے معیاری جسمانی بحالی کی خدمات فراہم کرنا ہے کہ اس طرح وہ کمیونٹی کے کار آمد شخص بنتے ہیں اور ان کے وقار، خود انحصاری، عزت نفس اور سماجی بہبود میں اپنا کردار ادا کر سکیں اس ادارہ ایم پی آر سی سنٹر کی دیگر خدمات مریضوں کی اسکریننگ؛تشخیص کے مصنوعی آلات؛آرتھوٹک آلات؛پری پروسٹیٹک ایکسرسائز تھراپی ؛ آلات کے ساتھ گیٹ؛اور ٹریننگ
کلب فٹ کلینک سیریبرل پالیسی کلینک؛وہیل چیئر؛سروسز ؛موبلٹی ایڈز کامیابیاں جیسی اس سنٹر کے حصے میں اپنی نوعیت کی صرف پبلک سیکٹر کی بحالی کے لیے کوشاں ہے۔ایم پی آر سی‏MPRCبورڈ آف ڈائریکٹرز کو اختیارات سونپنے کی وجہ سے منظوری کا بوجھ اور وقت طلب عمل سے اس ادارے کی پہچان بنا۔قومی سطح پر آئی سی آر سی 16 مراکز کے ساتھ تعاون کرتا ہے جن میں ایم پی آرسیMPRC‏کی معیاری خدمات کی فراہمی سرفہرست ہے۔ آئی سی آر سی نے ایم پی آر سی کو جدت لانے کے لیے ڈی سی ایم ایس سوفٹویئر کی صورت میں کے رول آؤٹ کرتے ہوئے پاکستان میں بہترین سہولیات فراہم کرنے والے ادارے کے طور پر منتخب کیا۔ ایم پی آر سیMPRCکا عملہ قومی اور بین الاقوامی ورکشاپس/کانفرنسز میں اپنے بہترین طریقوں/خدمات کی عکاسی کرنے کے لیے سرگرمی سے حصہ لیتا آ رہا ہے۔
