This historic initiative focused on raising awareness about animal rights and promoting compassion and safety on campus.

The event recognized and celebrated young rescue heroes who dedicate their efforts to helping animals, awarding them as a token of appreciation for their bravery and service.

The program included live rescue demonstrations, expert talks on animal care, and a school drama performed by students to highlight animal welfare issues.

The event served as both an educational and celebratory platform, emphasizing the importance of ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐›๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐ž๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ, and active participation in protecting animals.

Day 2 of ๐๐„๐…๐€๐€ training was a training session on soft skills, including communication, leadership, CV writing, and confidence-building skills.

Moreover mock interview was conducted where ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐ˆ๐ฆ๐ซ๐š๐ง ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง, Chairperson Department of Psychiatry, educated candidates on how to conduct themselves in real-time interviews.

The Dean, Khyber Medical College, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐ก๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ ๐€๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ณ๐ž๐›, while addressing the closing session, thanked the CEO of PEF, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐‰๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ ๐…๐š๐ซ๐จ๐จ๐ช๐ข, and the lead trainer, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐’๐š๐ฆ๐ž๐ž๐ซ, ๐Œ๐ข๐ฌ๐š ๐€๐ช๐ฌ๐š, head of student affairs, and their entire team of volunteers for this very productive activity, while also funding around 80 scholarships for KMC students.

While addressing the chief guest, ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐€๐›๐๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐๐š๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง Head of DMU/RMU Finance Department, Govt. of KP, the Dean reiterated the unique status and performance of Khyber Medical College and its graduates across the world and emphasized the importance of such activities for the academic growth of the students.

The Dean was then presented with a souvenir by the PEF delegation. He later participated in the presentation ceremony, awarding souvenirs to the managing team, PEF team, and the Chairperson's managing committee, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐ˆ๐ฆ๐ซ๐š๐ง ๐Š๐ก๐š๐ง, and Vice Dean ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐จ๐ก๐ฌ๐ข๐ง ๐’๐ก๐š๐Ÿ๐ข.

Day- 1 commenced with a webinar via Zoom where Medical and Tech professionals addressed a full-house gathering of undergraduate and post-graduate audience. The talk titled *"AI + medicine = Future"* introduced to an exciting idea of integrating AI in medicine and health in the future. Dr. Zafar Shahid, Dr. Ammara Sajad and Mr. Amir Khan were the addressing professionals who joined live from USA. Khyber Medical College (KMC) Hosts 20th Anniversary Celebration of Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) Pakistan

Today, Khyber Medical College (KMC) proudly hosted an event organized by Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) Pakistan to commemorate 20 years of dedicated service to humanity. The celebration brought together orphans from across the region to mark this milestone of compassion and community support.

The event featured the distribution of cash prizes, bicycles, electric cars, sports kits, awards, and various gifts among the orphan beneficiaries, recognizing their talents and efforts.

Prof. Dr. Mahmud Aurangzeb, Dean of KMC, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, including Mr. Muhammad Saleem Mamsori (Country Director, HHRD), Mr. Sajid Ali Chadar (Director Operations), Mr. Hafiz Amin (Regional Manager HHRD KPK), and Capt. On 6th November 2025 Surgery Interest Group - KMC hosted a seminar at Khyber Medical College titled ๐๐ž๐ฒ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐’๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ž๐ฅ: ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ž๐ง๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐‡๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐‘๐จ๐›๐จ๐ญ๐ข๐œ ๐’๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ.

The talk was delivered by ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐…๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ก ๐‰๐ž๐ก๐š๐ง - MD, an alumnus and the Best graduate of the year 2015. He is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical oncologist.

Currently, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐…๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ก ๐‰๐ž๐ก๐š๐ง serves as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Arizona and HPB Surgical Oncologist at Bannerโ€“University Medical Center Tucson.

He has authored over ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ scientific publications, including more than ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ original research manuscripts and four book chapters.

His scholarly work has been presented at major national and international conferences such as the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AHPBA), and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐…๐š๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ก๐š๐ก ๐‰๐ž๐ก๐š๐งโ€™๐ฌ contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including honors from the ACS, SSO, and AHPBA, as well as consecutive โ€œBest Surgery Residentโ€ awards during residency and โ€œExcellence in Cancer Researchโ€ and โ€œDistinguished Scientific Achievementโ€ awards during fellowship.

The talk focused on cutting-edge technology in Hepatobiliary Surgery and innovations in Complex HPB cases.

The talk was attended by faculty and residents of the Surgery Department along with Chairperson ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ. ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐Œ๐š๐ก ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ง๐ž๐ž๐ซ with many students flocking in to seek USMLE inspiration from the esteemed speaker.
