The Northwest Students Research Society (NSRS) successfully organized a two-day hands-on workshop titled “Mastering SPSS Made Simple” at Northwest School of Medicine (NWSM), led by Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali, HOD Community Medicine Department, VP Research, and Chief Editor NJMS.
The workshop was designed to simplify statistical concepts and equip participants with the essential skills to analyze, interpret, and present research data using SPSS through interactive, hands-on sessions.
With 100+ attendees from NWSM/NWGH and various other institutions, the event successfully combined learning, practice, and engagement, fostering data-driven research skills among students and young professionals.

Northwest School of Medicine held a seminar today on Head and Neck Reconstruction. The presentation was given by our international faculty, Mr. Farhan Ahsan, a Consultant Otolaryngologist and Head & Neck Surgeon. He is the Robotic Head & Neck lead at New Cross Hospital NHS Trust at Wolverhampton.

The seminar was very well received and provided useful insight into the very complex topic of Head and Neck Reconstruction.

Prof. Dr. Mohibullah and Dr. Imran Mohib Khan were also present, who added to the talk with their experience.

On 20th September, the Northwest School of Medicine hosted its grand Funfair Program, jointly organized by the Literary Society, DAEIM-Social Welfare Society, and the Shooting & Recreational Club.

The day began with “Northfest”, where students of NWSM and external participants showcased a variety of stalls including food, games, and other attractions, creating a lively atmosphere across the campus.

In the evening, the celebrations continued with an enchanting “Qawali Night”, performed by renowned Qawwals. The soulful music and vibrant atmosphere were thoroughly enjoyed by students, faculty, and guests.

The event was graced by Chief Executive AHL, Malik Abdul Latif Awan, as Chief Guest, along with Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain (Principal, NWSM) and Prof. Dr. Naveed Alam (Vice Principal, NWSM), who appreciated the efforts of the organizing societies.

Clinical Audit Workshop
A highly interactive workshop on Clinical Audit was conducted on 12th September, facilitated by Prof. Dr. Waqar Ali.

Around 100 participants from various institutions joined, making it a truly engaging and collaborative learning experience.

The session focused on practical insights, discussions, and skill-building to strengthen the culture of audit and quality improvement in medical education & practice.
