*⚠️ Thioridazine*, a *first-generation antipsychotic*, has been *withdrawn globally*, including by the *Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP)* in *2022*, due to its *severe adverse effects*, such as:

* *Sudden cardiac arrest*
* *Extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS)*
* *QT prolongation*

*Important Note:*
The *combination drug Diagesic-P* (containing thioridazine) is *banned in Pakistan*, yet it's *still being prescribed as a painkiller*, which poses serious risks.

Walk through any Pakistani city, and you’ll see 10+ pharmacies in a single street —but rural areas have NONE. Meanwhile, drugs are stored in 50°C heat with no air conditioning , and loose tablets are sold like candy. 💊🔥 Power outages? They make it worse.
This isn’t just inefficient—it’s DANGEROUS.

🇺🇸🇩🇪🇦🇺 What Developed Countries Do RIGHT:

USA : Pharmacies can’t open within 1-2 miles of each other.
Germany : 1 pharmacy per 5,000 people + strict ownership rules.
Australia : Licenses ONLY if the area needs more pharmacies.

👉 Pakistan? Zero rules. Profit over patients.
🔥 Heat + No AC + Blackouts = DISASTER
At 50°C, without refrigeration or power :

Insulin is ineffective (diabetics, beware!).
Vaccines (like hepatitis B) become USELESS.
Antibiotics (amoxicillin) break down into HARMFUL chemicals.
Would you drink spoiled milk? Then why take degraded meds?

Prednisolone : Moisture exposure reduces potency, risking treatment failure for inflammatory conditions .
