مکمل طبی معائنے کے بعد گیسٹرو اینٹرولوجی ڈیپارٹمنٹ نے تشخیص کی کہ مریضہ کے معدے میں دو بڑے کیل موجود ہیں۔

گیسٹرو ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے ماہر ڈاکٹر عمران اللہ اورانکی ٹیم نے فوری کارروائی کرتے ہوئے لیزر اور اینڈوسکوپک کیمرہ تکنیک کی مدد سے دونوں کیل بغیر کسی بڑے آپریشن کے کامیابی سے نکال لیے۔

ماہرین کے مطابق اگر مریضہ کو بروقت ہسپتال نہ لایا جاتا تو یہ کیل معدہ یا آنتوں کو نقصان پہنچا سکتے تھے، جس کے نتیجے میں بڑا آپریشن ناگزیر ہوتا۔

The Honourable Health Minister Mr. Khaleeq ur Rehman inaugurated the new Eye OPD at MTI/HMC today.

CEO Dr. Shehzad Akbar Khan, Medical Director Dr. Muhammad Shah, Hospital Director Dr. Sher Zaman, Clinical Coordinator Dr. Imran, Chairman Ophthalmology Department Dr. Yousaf Jamal, Director PICO Dr. Sanaullah Jan, along with faculty members and administrative staff, attended the ceremony and appreciated the quality services being provided by HMC.

The Health Minister emphasised the importance of awareness and prevention campaigns for various diseases and stressed the need to further improve staff behaviour and patient-care attitude.
The Medical Director assured him that workshops on professionalism, communication, and behaviour enhancement will be arranged accordingly.

Dr. Shinza Irshad (RPh), Monitoring & Reporting Officer of the Fleming Fund Project, along with Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed, Assistant Manager of the Infection Prevention & Control Committee, Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, visited Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar.

They held detailed meetings with the teams of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee (ASC) and the Infection Prevention & Control Committee (IPC) of HMC.

During the visit, the delegation from Shifa International Hospital was briefed on the ongoing initiatives, roles, and activities of both committees. They highly appreciated the efforts of HMC and termed them a role model for hospitals across the province.

The HR Department of MTI HMC successfully conducted a BLS (Basic Life Support) Workshop for the second batch of House Officers. The session was facilitated by the Resource Person and attended by senior leadership. Essential life-saving skills were discussed in detail to strengthen emergency response readiness across the hospital.

Key Features Covered:

1-Early recognition of cardiac arrest

2-Activation of the emergency response system

3-High-quality chest compressions (rate, depth, recoil)

4- Airway management and rescue breaths

5- Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

6- Team dynamics and coordinated resuscitation

7- Basics of post-resuscitation care

The Private Room Fair Price Pharmacy was formally inaugurated by the Medical Director, Dr. Muhammad Shah. On this occasion, Dean/CEO Dr. Shehzad Akbar Khan, Hospital Director Dr. Sher Zaman, Nursing Director Awal Khan, Pharmacy Manager Zafar, Clinical Coordinator Dr. Imran, Incharge Emergency Dr. Fahad, along with other faculty members and administrative staff, were present.

The extension of the Fair Price Pharmacy outlet to the IBP Rooms will ensure the provision of medicines at subsidised rates right at the patients’ doorstep, offering them greater convenience, access, and quality care.

This year’s theme, “Act Now; Protect Our Present and Secure Our Future,” highlighted the importance of responsible antibiotic use and the role of stewardship in safeguarding global health.

Under the leadership of Dean Khyber Girls Medical College Prof. Shahzad Akbar, Medical Director Dr. Muhammad Shah, Hospital Director Dr. Sher Zaman, important decisions have been taken at HMC to further streamline and expedite treatment under the Health Sahulat Program (SSP).

Clinical Coordinator Dr. Imran, admin staff and SSP staff ensured their presence. During the meeting, it was clarified that special approval will be applicable only to non-package items, and the approval process will be completed within an hour, with de facto approval if required. The authority of local approval has been delegated to the DMO and SSP team to ensure that there is no delay in patient care. The HMIS will be upgraded to ensure real-time tracking of expenses, alerts when the package is fully utilized, and separate recording of SSP and HMC expenses. PBM funds will be used only for implants, while any remaining funds will support patient-related services. The upcoming IMC meeting will review all pending vendor payments and six-month statements of accounts.
