A comprehensive contact session was conducted at MTI-HMC for the Registered Nurses (RNs) of the Gynaecology Department, head nurses, and RNs from various departments including Emergency (ER), Surgical, Medical, Paediatrics, ICU, and Operating Theatre (OT). The session was led by Mr. Awal Khan, Nursing Director MTI-HMC, and co-facilitated by Ms. Iqra, Nursing Manager at MTI-HMC.

Themed "If it's not safe, it's not care," the session focused on IPSGs Goal No. 1: Patient Identification. Mr. Awal Khan highlighted the significance of patient identification through ID bands, discussing institutional policy, best practices, and expected outcomes. The root causes of patient identification errors were explored, encouraging participants to analyze incidents and propose solutions. Assignments were given to reinforce learning, and participants actively engaged in sharing their experiences and ideas to enhance understanding and practical application.

To conclude the session, participants completed a brief assessment to evaluate their understanding of the topic. Dr. Sher Zaman, Hospital Director MTI-HMC, commended the efforts of the organizers and acknowledged the importance of accurate patient identification in ensuring safe and quality care.
