The SBC CELL team visited District Naseerabad in response to the AWD (Acute Watery Diarrhea) outbreak and conducted a series of awareness and engagement activities at Government Girls High School Sardar Jara Khan Joya, Dera Murad Jamali.

These informative sessions were led by Mr. Khalil Ahmed, Chief Health Education Officer, focusing on the importance of hygiene practices, safe water usage, and preventive measures to control the spread of diseases.

The initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to promoting public health and community awareness across Balochistan, in close coordination with our valued partners.

The SBC CELL team visited District Naseerabad in response to the AWD (Acute Watery Diarrhea) outbreak and conducted a series of awareness and engagement activities at Government Boys Degree College, Dera Murad Jamali.

These informative sessions were led by Mr. Khalil Ahmed, Chief Health Education Officer, focusing on the importance of hygiene practices, safe water usage, and preventive measures to control the spread of diseases.

A District level meeting was convened regarding the outbreak of acute watery diarrhoea (AWD) in the Office of the District Health Officer Naseerabad .
The meeting waschaired by District Health Officer Dr.Manan Laketi . The Chief Health Education Officer Khalil ahmed discussed in detail the SBCC activities and their implementation in hotspots areas hit by awd and the Participants besides investigation , surveillance and treatment also emphasized on the Community engagement to for the purpose to mitigate the risk and mobilize the masses to adopt positive behaviour and follow the precautionary guidelines and measures regarding the prevailing disease in the area where they are residing. The Health Eduction Cell Provincial Health Directorate with support of UNICEF implemented SBCC and RCCE activities in Naseerabad district.

NICC Meeting Held to Assess Readiness for Nationwide Measles-Rubella (MR) Campaign

A meeting of the National Interagency Coordination Committee (NICC) was held in Islamabad.
Agenda: To assess readiness for the forthcoming nationwide Measles-Rubella (MR) Campaign.

Campaign Details:
Dates: November 17th to November 29th, 2025.
Target Population: Children from 6 months to 5 years of age.

Intervention: The MR vaccine will be administered to all children in the target age group, irrespective of their previous vaccination or disease history.

Rationale:
This MR campaign is critically important as the measles virus is now a significant threat, actively searching for children with no or partial immunization against measles.
