BRF is very proud to share that we had 3 consecutive weeks of Research capacity building and training workshop.

While we received a great number of applications for participation in the workshop, only a small group of students from BUMHS were selected who were taught the basics from designing a research project to getting it published.

The workshop also hosted live teaching sessions on using statistical packages like SPSS and different referencing software.

We are very pleased to see the interest of students of BUMHS and we plan to bring further opportunities like this soon.

The last session of research module workshop, Moderated by Mr. Rabbey Raza, will be all about giving meaning to meaningless data.

Our speakers, Mr. Abdul Qahar and Dr. Saliha Kakar will be talking about the importance of different analytical tools including, but not limited to SPSS, and analytical methods used in achieving the desired results from your study.

They'll also be talking on selecting the right sample size for your project and much more!

Malaria is endemic to Pakistan and constitutes a national health emergency with the provinces of Balochistan, Singh, KPK, and Fedrally administered tribal areas showing the greatest risk of parasite.

While there has been a growing risk of developing resistance to common antimalarial drugs, today on the international malaria day, it is important to highlight the need for development and introduction of new and effective control tools for the implementation of malaria control strategy in Pakistan than ever before!
