Today, a patient presented to our dental clinic within 15 minutes of trauma, with avulsed maxillary central and lateral incisors. The teeth had been appropriately stored in milk prior to arrival. On examination, both teeth were gently rinsed with normal saline to remove debris, and subsequently replanted into their respective sockets. A flexible splint was applied to stabilize them. The patient was prescribed systemic antibiotics and advised tetanus prophylaxis and also advised soft diet for 15 days. Endodontic management will be planned according to root maturity in the follow-up visit. Regular follow-up will be scheduled to monitor for pulpal healing, resorption, or ankylosis.

Pediatric dental case:
A 5-year-old child patient reported to the clinic with a complaint of pain in the lower right posterior region. Clinical examination revealed a grossly carious tooth 85 with pulpal involvement. A pulpotomy was performed under local anesthesia in the first visit. In the second visit, a glass ionomer cement (GIC) restoration was placed; however, due to limited patient cooperation and difficulty in achieving proper isolation because of excessive salivation, the restoration could not be contoured to the ideal anatomical form. The patient will be reviewed periodically, and further restorative intervention will be considered as needed based on cooperation and clinical status.

A cooperative pediatric patient presented to the dental clinic with a chief complaint of pain. Clinical and radiographic examination revealed gross caries involving lower right (E), with no signs of abscess or mobility. A pulpotomy was performed under local anesthesia, and the patient tolerated the procedure well. The patient is currently under follow-up for completion of the restoration.

🔵 Here's how it happens:

When plaque builds up on teeth and gums, it harbors bacteria that cause inflammation. In periodontitis, these bacteria and inflammatory mediators can enter the bloodstream through bleeding gums.

Once in circulation, they can:

➡️ Trigger systemic inflammation that contributes to atherosclerosis (hardening of arteries).

➡️ Promote plaque buildup in blood vessels, increasing the risk of blockages.

➡️ Elevate C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, a marker associated with heart disease.

Performed periodontal plastic surgery on goat head, which involved the harvest of a free gingival graft (FGG) and a connective tissue graft (CTG). The grafts were taken from the donor site (palate) to be used for the recipient site, where tissue augmentation was needed for periodontal regeneration. The surgery aimed to improve tissue coverage, address root exposure, and enhance gingival health for better periodontal support and function.

The donor site was carefully selected to ensure minimal trauma and optimal healing. Both the FGG and CTG were meticulously harvested and sutured into the recipient site, ensuring proper positioning and stability for the grafts.

It was a great experience.. enjoying learning new things 💞

The initial steps in the treatment process involved careful planning of the implant's height and diameter, followed by the measurement of the working length to ensure proper placement and alignment.
The implant was successfully placed with a safe margin from the inferior alveolar nerve canal.
