🇵🇰 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐎𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐍 𝐒𝐂𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐒 – 𝟯𝐫𝐝 𝐈𝐐𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS successfully convened its 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗲 (𝗜𝗤𝗖) under the chairmanship of the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻. The meeting aimed to strengthen institutional quality assurance and reinforce the University’s continuous improvement culture.

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗤𝗘𝗖, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻, briefed the house on recent institutional achievements, including TUMS’s inclusion in 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵. The forum also confirmed the minutes of the previous meeting and approved the Annual QEC Activity Calendar 2025–2026.

The meeting finalized 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 (𝗣𝗧) for the 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗦𝗔𝗥) Cycle 2025–2026 and reviewed the 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 of all programs. Participants also discussed the required 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 for 2025–2026. The session concluded with a renewed commitment to enhancing quality standards under the visionary leadership of the Worthy Chancellor.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴, under the umbrella of The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS organized a comprehensive academic exhibition titled “𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆 – 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗱𝘆” on Monday, November 10, 2025. The event aimed to strengthen students’ conceptual understanding of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathophysiology, focusing on how various diseases influence the structure and function of the human body.

The exhibition featured an engaging array of educational posters, live demonstrations, anatomical models, and interactive modules prepared by students. These exhibits offered an opportunity for participants to translate theoretical knowledge into practical insights, enhancing analytical and critical thinking skills. The event also included sessions on concept clarification, certificate distribution, and concluded with a networking lunch for faculty and students.

The exhibition was honored by the presence of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 & 𝗖𝗘𝗢 and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 (𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿) as 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀. The successful event was organized by Ms. Mehak Memon (Senior Lecturer, ICON), with valuable contributions from Mr. Asif Ali (Principal, ICON) and Ms. Shehnaz Keerio (Vice Principal, ICON). The initiative reflected the university’s continued dedication to academic excellence, clinical competence, and experiential learning in healthcare education under the visionary leadership of the Worthy Chancellor, 𝗗𝗿. The workshop, organized in collaboration with the 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗦𝗛𝗘𝗖), aimed to enhance institutional understanding of global ranking frameworks, improve benchmarking practices, and strengthen the international visibility of higher education institutions in Sindh.

The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 observed 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 by organizing a 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 on October 27, 2025 & 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 on October 24, 2025 at its Main Campus to express profound support and solidarity with the people of 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗢𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿 (𝗜𝗢𝗝𝗞).

The events were graciously led by the 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 and 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, accompanied by faculty members, administrative officials, and a large number of students. Participants carried banners highlighting Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people and their right to self-determination.

The 9th Meeting of the Board of Governors was successfully conducted at The University of Modern Sciences-TUMS on Saturday, 25th October 2025, under the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝗾𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿.

The meeting was graced by the 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗿. 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘇 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻, 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗿, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗵𝘁𝗮𝗾 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗤𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗶 and other 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 of the 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘀, who actively contributed to the discussions and deliberations.

Following the meeting, a 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 & 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 was organized, during which the members expressed their appreciation for the remarkable progress and recent developments within the University.

Karachi, October 24, 2025: Officials from the Private Hospitals & Clinics Association (PHCA) held a productive meeting with Mr. Yang Yundong, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi, to discuss areas of mutual cooperation in the healthcare sector. The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration in healthcare technology, training programs, and medical infrastructure development between Pakistan and China.

The PHCA delegation was led by Dr. Farhan Essa Abdullah (General Secretary) and included Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Memon (Joint Secretary), Mr. Naeem Asghar (Treasurer), and Mr. Nusrat Faheem (Secretary). The officials appreciated the Consul General’s vision for strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in promoting medical innovation and knowledge exchange.

Mr. Yang Yundong commended the efforts of PHCA in uplifting private healthcare standards in Pakistan and expressed China’s willingness to explore joint initiatives for improved healthcare delivery and capacity building. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering long-term partnerships that contribute to the advancement of healthcare services and professional collaboration between the two nations.

This prestigious national event, held on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, brought together the most 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 from 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻. The 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗗𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 of 𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗦, comprising 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗮 𝗡𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶, delivered an 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 and was highly commended by the audience and adjudicators for their eloquence, clarity of expression, and persuasive delivery.

Prior to this, the 𝗧𝗨𝗠𝗦 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 of 𝗣𝗨𝗗𝗖 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰–𝟮𝟱 and was awarded a 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 of 𝗥𝘀. 𝟭𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬/- in recognition of their 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. Their success at the regional level earned them the honor of representing Sindh Province at the national stage.

The 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 was led by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹 (𝗤𝗘𝗖), who served as the 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 and facilitated the University’s participation in the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.
During their visit to the Federal Capital, the delegation also had the 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱, where they witnessed the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and explored the 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺, providing them with valuable insight into Pakistan’s legislative and democratic processes.
