*Inauguration Ceremony*

*Measles–Rubella Vaccination Campaign 2025*
District Gujranwala – *14 November 2025*

The inauguration ceremony of the *National Measles & Rubella (MR)* Vaccination Campaign 2025 was held at Children Hospital Gujranwala under the chair of the *Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala* . *CEO, DHA Gujranwala, DHO (PS),* DDHOs, Rescue 1122, allied departments, and UNICEF representatives participated.

* The campaign will run from *17 to 29 November 2025* , targeting approximately *797,000* children aged *6–59 months*. A total of *470 outreach teams* and *215 fixed teams* will be deployed. Special focus will be given to high-risk areas.

* The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the district preparations and directed all departments to ensure full support and achieve 100% MR coverage. UNICEF and partner organizations assured full cooperation.

* The ceremony concluded with the formal inauguration of the campaign.

On the directions of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Gujranwala, anti-dengue activities have been carried out in the flood-affected UCs of Tehsil Wazirabad.

1. IRS Spray
2. Larviciding activities are underway at a fast pace.
3. Active dengue surveillance is being ensured to closely monitor the situation and protect citizens from the dengue threat.

Visited Areas: *UC 29, UC 30, and UC 34 – Khiali Shahzad Put Town, District Gujranwala*
Date: 22-09-2025

*Observations & Findings:*

Dengue Field Teams: Teams were checked and their performance was validated.

*UC 29 & 30 (Gujranwala Ceramic Market)*: Positive larva was found in ceramic commodes.

*Action Taken: Notices were served to the premises owners to remove larval sites by tomorrow; otherwise, FIR will be registered against them.*

*UC 34 (Graveyard)*: Breeding containers were identified and immediately removed by the concerned teams on the spot.
