Pre-conference (KEMCANA UK 2025) PPH Bundle workshop
A workshop on PPH Bundle was organized by the Department of Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Unit IV, Lady Aitchison Hospital, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Meher-un-Nisa, on Saturday, 15th November 2025, in the Class Room of Lady Aitchison Hospital, Lahore.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mehmood Ayaz as Patron-in-Chief graced the occasion. He is the main support for all academic activities in KEMU and its attached hospitals.
The VC KEMU examined all stations and helped PGRs in hands on practice. He taught them how to hold needle and apply a stitch.VC Sahib also visited LAH and saw the new labor rooms after being shifted to ground floor. The registrar KEMU Prof. Asghar Naqi also accompanied the VC KEMU in Lady Aitchison Hospital.
MS LAH Dr. Sobia Javed attended as Guest of Honour Prof.Dr Nadia kursheed (unit V )and Prof. Abida Sajid also joined the workshop as guests.
The Chief Organizer, Prof. Dr. Meher-un-Nisa (Head of Department, Unit IV, LAH), delivered the welcome address and provided an overview of the workshop, highlighting its importance in strengthening emergency obstetric care and aligning with national guidelines to reduce maternal morbidity and mortality due to postpartum hemorrhage.
PPH Bundle training emphasized early identification, management, and team coordination.
Consultants, senior registrars, and participants actively and enthusiastically engaged in practical drills.
The workshop was facilitated by Consultants and SRs from Unit IV—including Dr. Samina Gardezi, Dr. Maria, Dr. Saleha Ijaz, Dr. Hina Zafar, Dr. Munazza, and Dr. Saman played an active role in the organization and facilitation of the workshop.
Around 30 participants from Unit IV and Unit V attended the workshop and found the training extremely informative, practical, and beneficial for improving emergency response in cases of postpartum hemorrhage. Feedback collected from attendees reflected appreciation for the hands-on approach and the updated clinical practices taught during the session.
