Juicy Cheesy Meat Lasagna

Who can resist a juicy, meaty, cheesy lasagna. Well we certainly can't. You shouldn't too.

Add in meat of our choice and vegetables, personally, we prefer mushrooms, tomatoes and lots of cheese. We'll cheese ain't a vegetable, is it. 😬😂😂😂🤣😜 anyways you get the point, throw everything in a pot, layer and voila, pop it into the oven for 20-25 minutes. I don't like to make tomato sauce separately, it feels like too much work so I chop lots of tomatoes, some tomato paste and garlic into the meat sauce and they get ready together.

So basically we layer in a pyrex dish
1. White sauce.
2. Pasta sheet pre-boiled.
3. Meaty sauce with vegetables and everything.
4. Pasta sheet/ lasagna sheets.
5. White sauce.
6. Lasagna sheet.
7. Meat sauce.
8. White sauce.
9. Lots of grated mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

~~~Coffee Crunch Cake~~~

Recipe link in bio. Made coffee crunch cake for my father's birthday long time ago and it was an instant hit. Super moist with a tender yet sturdy crumb makes it an excellent choice for sculpting or applying fondant on top.

In case you didn't notice, we own a home-based cakery too, where we sculpt and crumb coat all sorts of cake. Don't forget to follow my cakery page.

Anyways, back to recipe, so If you're not a fan of coffee ( already feeling sorry for you 😂😜 )omit coffee all together and make it into a caramel crunch cake. Drizzle caramel sauce on top and inside each layer and viola caramel crunch cake, how cool is that. 💕💯🎂🥳🥳🥳☺️😃

Cake in picture is the altered caramel cake, with crunch in every bite and caramel sauce drizzled on top.

~~~~~Crispy Fish & Chips~~~~~

This is a halal take on the classic fish & chips recipe that is served on a newspaper 😉 hint hint* 😁☺️

The super crispy flakes are no magic, but all science. It's two things, chemical reaction between the leavening agents and vinegar, plus the cold soda, or in our case chilled 7 up, I had diet 7 up on my hands so you can use which so ever you like. 😄 It's basically an adapted tempora batter, if you know what that means.

You just need to keep a few points in mind if you want your fish fillets to be super crispy, emm emm!!!

1. Soda should be chilled.
2. Check your leavening agents. Expiry of your baking soda and baking powder.
3. If it's too hot, keep batter chilled in fridge after every coat. ( Yes, it comes with a price.)
4. The crispiness fades away with time (alas!) so fry them just before serving, in the mean time keep the marinated fish fillets and the batter in the fridge.

We served it with homemade tar-tar sauce, that's basically:

3 tbsp Mayonnaise.
2 tspl gerkins chopped (homemade)
1 tsp Vinegar
Pinch salt
Pinch white peppers.
Stir everything together and enjoy!!!

Note: Fish fillets I used had no foul smell, (thankfully) but if yours do, add some garlic (powder or freshly crushed) and Lemon juice to marination.

A few days to Ramadan 2021 🤩🤩🤩🤩💯🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳❤️😃 Alhumdolillah!!! And we are super excited. May Allah allow us to reach Ramadan in best of health- both mental and physical, and with eeman and aafiat ameen sumameen!

Not just us but our freezer is all prepped up and ready for Ramadan too. So many goodies, all hard cold and unreachable for now await. The lid of those containers can only be opened once it's Ramadan.😂😂😂😁😅⚡ It's like it's there but we don't consider it there. Our freezer is tiny (by choice) so we made small batches of everything. 😁

But how's your preparation going? What's in your freezer?
