Chestand is definitely a top priority in my practice going into 2025. I’m slowly teaching my nervous system that this is safe and familiar territory. What’s your asana focus for 2026?

My dog, Lily, is petrified of fireworks. About a week before New Year’s Eve, I take her to the vet so she can get pills, because people already start setting off firecrackers. She refuses to go for the second and third walk of the day, as she is afraid to go outside the building. This lasts for about two weeks to a month.
On New Year’s Eve and the following day, she gets even stronger medication, which basically knocks her down so she is somewhat unbothered.
I think that we, as a human species, have a moral obligation not to harm others and to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Fireworks are not just ten minutes of fun, because in reality people start setting them off at least a week before and a week after. Fireworks heavily pollute the air, kill birds, scare wildlife, petrify pets, and affect sensory-sensitive people (e.g. autism) as well as people with war-related PTSD.
I truly think that we can do better than this.
Please rethink your New Year’s Eve choices so that you do not cause harm.

How do you even begin to describe the most magical time of your life during a 200-hour YTT with the .and.all.is.coming and
How do you put into words the most profound and deeply yogic experience you’ve ever had?

I truly believe the transformation that happened here will stay with me for a lifetime. This training is, in every sense, life changing.
I’m so honored to be a LAAIC graduate and to hold such a precious diploma.

I’ve been transformed not only physically, but most importantly internally and deep within. I am eternally grateful to Talia for being a living example of everything she teaches. I’ve never met anyone who lives and breathes yoga the way she does.

Thank you, Taliaji 🤍🦢

If you’ve been through a YTT yourself, I’d love to hear how it transformed you.

Lately I feel like I am standing right in the middle of an in-between. The old structures, the routines, the stories I once fit into no longer serve me. And yet the new has not fully arrived. It is a space of transition, of not quite knowing what is next and learning to be okay with that.

I choose to look forward. To trust that even if the path is not fully clear, the Universe is quietly guiding me exactly where I need to go. To stay focused on growth, expansion, and all the possibilities waiting to unfold.

There is something beautiful in this uncertainty. It means change is alive. And instead of fearing it, I am learning to meet it with curiosity, trust, and a little bit of excitement for all that the future might hold ✨

❓ What helps you stay patient when the future feels uncertain?

✨ Life & practice update ✨

• It has been 13 months with my QL injury and it still hasn’t gone away
• Recently the pain became so intense that I had to stop practicing yoga completely for about a week and a half
• Interestingly, this pause gave my body a break and the nerve pain in my right foot, which had been present for the past three months, finally stopped
• The QL is still unhappy, but at least I no longer feel pain when walking, which already feels like a small but meaningful relief
• Right now I am facing the lesson of non-attachment to deepening my ranges of motion. Letting this go, even temporarily, is difficult, but I know it is important
• My body is clearly asking me to adjust, because what I want it to do and what it is able or willing to give back are not the same. That means changes in how I practice, how often, and with what intensity
• All of this is happening while I am just one month into a new job, filled with new people, new processes, and new routines
• On top of that I am continuing my stretching instructor course. At this moment stepping back from active practice feels like the best decision for my body
• Even though this period is difficult, frustrating, and at times demotivating, I am also hopeful. I trust that I will find a way to cooperate with my body instead of working against it

❓❔How do you balance ambition with self-compassion in your practice or daily life?

Yoga isn’t just about movement, it’s also about how we sit with ourselves in stillness.
With September around the corner, I feel an invitation to slow down, breathe deeper, and listen inward.

🍂 How does September land for you: as a pause or as a push forward?
