The HEART

The HEART (Heart Embryology and Anatomy Research Team) was founded in June 2013 by Dr Wiesława Klimek-Piotrowska and Dr Mateusz K. Hołda at Department of Anatomy Jagiellonian University Medical College in Cracow, Poland.

Our mission is to explore the clinical relevant morphology of the cardiovascular system. Our interdisciplinary research focus on understanding the architecture of the human heart at all levels, ranging from gross anatomy to the molecular level, and in both normal and diseased conditions.
