Cardiology Teaching Series

Hello everyone!

We are so excited to be back again with the Cardiology Teaching Series. This time, Dr. Natasha Ahmed and Dr. Daria Keller will be presenting on heart failure.

Dr. Natasha Ahmed graduated with an MD from PUMS in 2021 and a BSc. in Biomedical Sciences from Royal Holloway University of London in 2017.

Natasha has contributed to FISGoCM as a vice president 2020-2021 and ESRA Cardiology 2021. Natasha has had an active role in establishing the Cardiology Teaching Series for FISGoCM. She is currently working as a foundation doctor at Lancashire Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust where she has had a 4-month cardiology rotation.

Natasha has a keen interest in cardiology, and is actively involved in research and quality improvement projects in cardiology.

This event will be on MS teams (a link will be provided) on January 26th, 2022 at 6 pm!

Drogie Koleżanki i Drodzy Koledzy,

Mamy przyjemność zaprosić Was na kolejne spotkanie z serii "Cardiology Teaching Series". Tym razem dr Natasha Ahmed i dr Daria Keller przybliżą nam zagadnienia związane z niewydolnością serca.

Dr Natasha Ahmed ukończyła anglojęzyczny Wydział Lekarski na PUMS w 2021 roku. Dodatkowo uzyskała tytuł licencjata nauk biomedycznych na Royal Holloway University of London w 2017 roku. Natasha w roku 2020-2021 pełniła fukncję wiceprezesa FISGoCM i ESRA Cardiology 2021. W ramach swojej działalności współtworzyła "Cardiology Teaching Series" od początku jej powstania. Obecnie pracuje jako lekarz w Lancashire Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust, gdzie odbyła 4-miesięczną rotację kardiologiczną. Natasha bardzo interesuje się kardiologią i jest zaangażowana w badania i projekty poprawy jakości w kardiologii.

To wydarzenie odbędzie się w MS Teams (link zostanie podany przed spotkaniem) 26 stycznia 2022 o godzinie 18:00!

Hello Everyone!

We are so happy to announce that the Cardiology Teaching Series will begin again for the new academic year on Nov 4th with a special lecture from Dr. Sylwia Iwańczyk.

Dr. Iwańczyk graduated from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences with honors in 2014. Since 2016, she has been a fellow of the six-year general cardiology training at the 1st Cardiology Clinic in Poznan and currently in training as an interventional cardiologist since 2017.

Dr. Iwańczyk is especially interested in interventional cardiology with complex coronary interventions, coronary physiology and imaging, as well as assessment of microvascular dysfunction.

Welcome Dr. Iwańczyk and looking forward to your lecture!

Jest nam niezmiernie miło poinformować, że 4 listopada rozpocznie się ponownie „Cardiology Teaching Series” w nowym roku akademickim specjalnym wykładem dr Sylwii Iwańczyk.

Dr Iwańczyk ukończyła z wyróżnieniem studia na Uniwersytecie Medycznym w Poznaniu w 2014 roku. Od 2016 roku jest rezydentką w I Klinice Kardiologii w Poznaniu, a od 2017 roku w szkoli się z zakresu kardiologii interwencyjnej.

Dr Iwańczyk szczególnie interesuje się kardiologią interwencyjną ze złożonymi interwencjami wieńcowymi, fizjologią i obrazowaniem naczyń wieńcowych oraz oceną dysfunkcji naczyń mikrokrążenia.

Z niecierpliwością czekamy na wykład dr Iwańczyk!

It is with utmost pleasure and excitement that we announce Prof. Bartłomiej Perek (MD, Ph.D) as our Lecturer for the Cardiology Teaching Series: Practical Considerations about Cardiac Anatomy event on June 29th at 6PM.

Prof. Perek is a cardiac surgeon Specialist. He graduated with honors from the Medical University of Poznań in 1996. From the beginning of his professional career, he was associated with the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Medical University of Poznań. Currently, he is an assistant professor and deputy head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Hospital of the Transfiguration in Poznań.

Member of many scientific societies, incl. Polish Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, Polish Society of Cardiology, European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Editor of the cardiac surgery section of the bimonthly Kardiologia Based on Faktach . Author of many papers in national and foreign journals in the field of cardiac surgery. He completed a research internship at the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium).

Special interests: surgical treatment of coronary artery disease using the technique without extracorporeal circulation, treatment of valvular heart disease, mechanical support of the circulatory system.

Mamy przyjemność ogłosić, że kolejnym wykładowcą „Cardiology Teaching Series” jest prof. Bartłomiej Perek, który już 29 czerwca o godzinie 18:00 wygłosi wykład „Praktyczne aspekty anatomii serca”.

Prof. Perek jest specjalistą kardiochirurgii. W 1996 roku ukończył z wyróżnieniem Akademię Medyczną w Poznaniu. Od początku kariery zawodowej związany jest z Kliniką Kardiochirurgii Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Poznaniu. Obecnie jest adiunktem i zastępcą ordynatora Oddziału Kardiochirurgii Szpitala Przemienienia Pańskiego w Poznaniu.

Pan Profesor jest członkiem wielu towarzystw naukowych, m.in. Polskiego Towarzystwa Kardiochirurgów, Polskiego Towarzystwa Kardiologicznego, Europejskiego Towarzystwa Kardiochirurgów oraz Towarzystwa Chirurgów Klatki Piersiowej. Dodatkowo dr Perek jest redaktorem działu kardiochirurgii dwumiesięcznika Kardiologia na Faktach. Autor wielu artykułów w czasopismach krajowych i zagranicznych z zakresu kardiochirurgii. Odbył staż naukowy na Wydziale Kardiochirurgii Katolickiego Uniwersytetu w Leuven (Belgia).

Szczególne zainteresowania: leczenie operacyjne choroby wieńcowej techniką bez krążenia pozaustrojowego, leczenie wad zastawkowych serca, mechaniczne wspomaganie układu krążenia.

We are thrilled to announce our next speaker for the Cardiology Teaching Series, Dr. Daria Keller.

Dr. Keller is a medical doctor specializing in cardiology. She graduated from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2013. She has also studied as an exchange student at Aarhus University in Denmark. Daria Keller currently works in the 1st Department of Cardiology at Poznan University of Medical Sciences as a physician, lecturer, and clinical investigator. In 2019 she obtained a doctoral degree in medicine. Her main areas of interest and research are echocardiography, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart failure. She is very fond of teaching the younger generations of doctors and believes that sharing the knowledge can only multiply it.

Nadeszła pora na przedstawienie naszego kolejnego prelegenta „Cardiology Teaching Series” - dr Darię Keller.

Dr Keller jest lekarzem specjalizującym się w kardiologii. W 2013 ukończyła Uniwersytet Medyczny im. K. Marcinkowskiego w Poznaniu. W ramach wymiany studenckiej, studiowała również na Uniwersytecie w Aarhus w Danii. Obecnie dr Keller pracuje w I Klinice Kardiologii Uniwersytetu Medycznego w Poznaniu jako lekarz, wykładowca i badacz kliniczny. W 2019 roku uzyskała stopień doktora nauk medycznych. Jej główne obszary zainteresowań i badań to echokardiografia, kardiomiopatia przerostowa oraz niewydolność serca. Pasją Pani Doktor jest również nauczanie i dzielenie się wiedzą z kolejnymi pokoleniami lekarzy!
