What matters is not only naming the finding, but answering key questions:
How severe is the edema? Where is it most pronounced? Is it changing over time? What might be sustaining it?

👉 Pachymetry maps enable objective, quantitative monitoring of corneal thickness over time.
👉 Anterior segment OCT (AS-OCT) can help visualize and assess Descemet membrane detachment (DMD) in post-operative eyes—particularly when corneal edema limits slit-lamp evaluation, and when endothelial reserve is reduced (e.g., FECD).
