UHCC was established in 1985 by a group of Palestinian doctors and health professionals seeking to supplement the decayed and inadequate health infrastructure caused by years of Israeli military occupation. For 25 years the UHCC has been setting up clinics, implementing programs, employing health professionals and focusing on ensuring that the most vulnerable members of Palestinian society have ac
cess to vital health services. Its key aim is to raise the standard of health amongst Palestinians, targeting the poorest and most vulnerable areas of society through a number of programs and activities which emphasize prevention, education, community participation, and the empowerment of people.
