We can’t pretend placebo isn’t happening in bodywork.
Every session is embedded in context, meaning, expectation, and relationship.
The ethical question isn’t whether placebo is present —
it’s how consciously and responsibly we relate to it.
In client-led, person-centred practice, placebo isn’t a trick.
It’s the nervous system responding to safety, coherence, and agency.
When we stop trying to “create results” and instead focus on relational conditions, something shifts — for both practitioner and client.
👉 If you’re interested in relational bodywork that prioritises ethics, presence, and nervous system intelligence, my trainings explore this deeply.
Where might placebo already be operating in your work — without being named?
