💚Hay is not just feed – it is the most essential need of every horse. 🌱🐴

🌱In nature, horses graze for 15+ hours a day. Their digestive system is designed for this constant intake of fibre. If a horse goes more than 2–3 hours without forage, the stomach acid continues to flow, which can damage the stomach lining.🐴

📊 Did you know that studies show that 60–70% of (sport)horses suffer from gastric ulcers at some point?

😐 Too little forage, or too many hours without hay/grass – the #1 trigger for gastric ulcers.
😐 High-starch, high-concentrate diets replacing forage instead of complementing it.
😐 Stress and transport, which increase stomach acid and lower appetite.
😐 Overly intense training schedules without adjusting feeding routines.

Just like humans, horses also need the right balance of nutrients – protein and energy for muscle repair, immune system support, and overall health.

That’s why, when something is wrong, we often start with a blood test: to see which values are out of balance.
