Let’s go back to the basics! 🌀🧘🌀

We can sit down and do this simple exercise of BREATHING LONG AND DEEP, or we can bring it into our daily life, just taking a moment to pause and take a few long, deep breaths. And it can make such a huge difference!!!

Why? Because this simple practice really helps reset the nervous system. It works on the vagus nerve, one of the biggest nerves in the body, which is deeply connected to relaxation and the body’s ability to restore balance.

While we are breathing long and deep, we are sending a message to the nervous system: everything is fine, it’s okay, I can relax.

At the same time, we are allowing more oxygen to enter the body, helping the whole system feel more vital, calm, and relaxed. It’s a small pause that can shift how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Sometimes the most powerful tools are also the simplest and your breath is always with you.

Smiling and laughing are are literally medicine for the body and the nervous system.

The nervous system receives a message: you are safe now and the body shifts from survival into healing. Laughter and smiling reduce stress hormones like cortisol and activates the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for rest, repair, and restoration.

Just try in the morning to provoke belly laughter for 3 minutes, and let us know how it made you feel 🙏🙏🙏

It feels like an invitation to slow down, listen deeper, and become more conscious of what we consume, what we take, and what we give back.
May we remember to care for our Mother with love!

Finding our balance and helping others finding theirs in the midst of chaos asks for discernment... knowing which tools to reach for in each moment. Sometimes it’s yoga or meditation. Sometimes it’s service🧘Sometimes it’s sitting quietly in prayer, or nourishing ourselves with a warm meal so we can grow stronger. Each of us will find our own way back to center, and from that balance, intuition becomes clear and gently shows us what to do next.

🇵🇹 Here in Portugal, powerful storms have reminded us of the immense strength of Mother Nature. Homes have been damaged, lives disrupted, and alongside the material loss, there is deep emotional impact. People are coming together, offering hands, resources, and hearts.🤍

This is truly a time for all of us to find our inner steadiness, and from there, extend love and support to those who need it most. Sending blessings to everyone navigating these challenges. 🤍🌊

Outside, the rain 🌧️☂️ falls steadily and the cold settles in, wrapping everything in gray. But inside, the fire is burning bringing a cozzy warm light across the room.

There’s tea steaming in our cups, books open on the table, music in the air, and amazing and inspiring conversations energing... In presence, in excitment of exchanging perspectives...

These warmth feel precious, rich, and deeply nourishing. Then moments of music and improvisation, our laughter, our togetherness. Aaaaa the it feels so sooooocozzy!

During our retreats last year, we were deeply nourished: by the land, by the hands that cooked, by the way we gathered. Sometimes just as Mother Nature provides like wild berries, figs, oranges, grapes, prunes opened and shared beneath the trees. Abundance lives all around us 😋

And then, the kitchen became a temple ✨
Mauro, our neighbor and friend, an alchemist turning ingredients into magic.
Aurora, cooking with care, presence, and devotion. Pedro and Tatiana, weaving their own flavors and love into each meal.

Each dish a prayer.
Each meal an act of love.
Next year, more

In this beginning of January, I wanted to bring you a meditation to start fresh, with the inner house more and more clear ✨

This is a simple meditation to release and let go of the density of the body.

Even if you just do it for 3 minutes, you may already feel a powerful sense of liberation—more space, more breath, more ease.

Give yourself these few moments to release, and return to yourself 🤟
