Every studio has its quirks and its heart and a big part of ours is a very special plant. We’ve always loved watching it thrive, but recently, it gave us a moment we won’t forget.

A tiny, perfect bud 🌱 began to emerge, a testament to resilience and growth. Just as we were talking at this small miracle of nature, one of our students received the most wonderful news – her grandson had been born! Little Theo had arrived into the world 👶🏻

It was one of those moments that makes you smile, a perfect little echo of new life across different realms. Naturally, our plant needed a name, and Theo it was! Now, every time we see that plant, with its ever-growing leaves and new shoots, it’s a sweet reminder of that day: of new beginnings, unexpected joys, and the wonderful, interwoven stories that make our community so special.

✨ Warrior II (Virabhadrasana II)📜 (Veer−ah−bha−dras−uh−nuh): Virabhadra = a powerful mythical warrior 

Try these quick Warrior II cues during your flow. 👇

* Front knee is stacked directly over the front ankle.

* Front Toes are pointing Forward

* Back Foot is at 45-Degree Angle: Ground down through the outer edge of your back foot.

* Keep your torso directly over your hips 

* Think about taking up space on the mat: Grounding firmly into your stance

*  Maintain length in your spine and send the crown of your head toward the sky

* Shoulders are parallel and your heart is open 

* Spiral front thigh open 

* Back leg is straight, engaged, and powerful.

* Arms are parallel. Extend arms strongly, pull pinkies back 

Say this to yourself while holding the pose: “I am strong.”

⚠️ Things to Look Out For (Don’ts)

*  Do not let the front knee pass the ankle, as this strains the joint.

* Torso is leaning to either side (Keep it vertical and stacked).

*  Arms are not parallel to the mat (Keep them strong and extended).

* Avoid shifting your weight forward into the front hip.

* Avoid tilting the chin-up or tensing the neck

* Avoid shifting the gaze

💡 Feeling wobbly? Focus your gaze (drishti) over your front middle finger. If your shoulders are tiring, take a deep breath, gently slide your shoulders down toward your heart space, and re-engage your back leg to find grounding.💪

* Strengthens: Powerfully strengthens the shoulders, quadriceps, and hamstrings.

* Stretches: Deeply stretches the hips, inner thighs, calves, and shoulders.

* Focus & Endurance: Builds stamina and focus by requiring concentration and stability in a wide stance.

Take a wide stance and feel the power of the Warrior! Building on the stability of Warrior I, this pose opens your hips, strengthens your core, and expands your focus.

The Warrior II pose is an incredible whole-body engagement. Take a few moments to check your alignment and notice how it feels in your hips and shoulders.

Join us for a spooky, but not-too-scary, Halloween celebration designed perfectly for babies and toddlers. It’s a chance for your little ones to explore the fun side of the season without any frights.

What to Expect:

Costume Parade: Dress your tiny ghost, pumpkin, or superhero in their cutest costume! We’ll have a fun parade and take lots of memorable photos.

Pumpkin Sensory Play: Hands-on fun with pumpkin-themed sensory bins—think cooked spaghetti “worms,” scoopable pumpkin seeds, and soft spooky toys.

The quietest practice is often the loudest conversation.

Not every session on the mat is about achieving a perfect shape or chasing a burn. Some days, it’s about holding space for the weight you’ve been carrying.

Your body remembers everything. The tension in your jaw, the tightness in your hips, the stress that lives in your shoulders. Our practice isn’t just movement; it’s a safe space to put that baggage down. To feel it, acknowledge it, and finally, gently, release it.
