Retreat - request:
we are needing some white (or pink) flat sheets - plus single duvet sets with butterfly's or birds on. Plus a hairdryer, halogen cooker and some bikes (there is an awesome cycle track that starts just outside the retreat!) - if you can help, please let Angela know, thanks peeps! xx

Mindfulness Retreat update - planning to go back out end of August now to continue with the refurbishment (this time we will be putting in new plumbing!) - its a bit behind schedule due to unforeseen circumstances, but that is life.

Once we have showers fitted we will be able to invite people to come along and help with the painting/kitchen deep clean etc - so do let me know if you would like to come along and help. We sadly cant pay for your transport, but there would be no other costs (other than food, if we aren't there to feed you)

A glorious day down at the Strong Together community growing space in Lincoln, we are getting ready for the Stones Place Summer Fayre 2 till 4 this Saturday, come and visit us!! Everyone is welcome to come and assist in the allotment, we share the produce and hope to arrange workshops here in the future, if you physically cannot help, just come and enjoy the space, we are working on a new sensory meditation garden at the moment, where the scarecrow is and behind... Its going to be amazing!! Xx

Strong Together was set up to benefit anyone who has a physical or mental chronic condition, the aims are to improve wealth, health and well-being of its members. Keeping well with a chronic condition can be challenging and support from the state organisations that used to be around is diminishing daily. With this in mind, and with the realisation that if we want to be healthier and happier, we have to do it ourselves... We have decided to take a huge step by purchasing a property abroad where our members can come and enjoy the benefits of a retreat!
It has been a rather large undertaking, with lots of research, planning and preparation and of course raising the money... But we've done it!!
'Strong Together ' now has its own retreat in Seixas, North Portugal (this is a not for personal profit social enterprise, run by a registered multi stakeholder cooperative)
I will share some photos of the property and of the estuary it sits on which is near the sea and looks out towards Spain.
The physical work starts now as we bring over furniture, start the refurbishment and raise money to undertake some internal changes (ensuite bathrooms etc)
We won't say no to any help!! (practical support, fundraising activity etc) I will keep you posted on progress!! Angela and the team xx

We are creating a sensory garden at our community growing space on Skellingthorpe Road, Lincoln - but we need some help to clear the land. Are You free this weekend to help out? (9/10 March) refreshments will be served and lots of appreciation.

We have fantastic funding for the project from Stones Place Residential Home and the sensory garden will be a haven of peace for both residents and Strong Together members. Its a perfect secluded space for quiet meditation, reading and just enjoying nature. we shall be holding workshops at the site in the warmer months too.

We are already growing naturally grown food there to share with members who join the Stones Growing Group, if this is of interest to you, get in touch with Angela x

Urgent Notice!! This coming Saturday (27th October) you are invited to join us at Pure Land Meditation Gardens near Dunholme Bridge. We are planning to create our own meditation garden at Stones Place, Skellingthorpe Road and will be looking for inspiration there.

We will either go earlier for lunch, or meet there at 2pm. Transport will be provided where possible. Please let me know asap if you can make it, and if you'd like a lift, looking forward to seeing some of you Saturday! Angela xx (thanks to Karen Parkinson for the gorgeous photo of the gardens)

Wow, we have been donated this gorgeous caravan... Plus a gazebo, i already have a large van for towing... We have time to clean her, make her beautiful and hit the road visiting festivals and events selling art, craft, food products!! If you create wonderful items for sale and would like to be part of this selling collective then please let me know. We also plan to offer various workshops. This is to help those of you with health limitations for carrying, setting up, running stalls etc those that can do the heavy stuff will be doing all of that, you can either just supply goods, or come along and enjoy the event!!

I shall be back in Lincoln shortly, cracking on with getting Strong Together active. We are planning pilot workshops with Lauren, a ukulele group and more social activities in September, plus work opportunities asap.

I need more surveys back, please cam you fill in the forms below or please message me if you want a printed version sent in the post, or even if you would like me to come and visit and we fill them in together and chat about what would work for you. Much love, Angela xx
